They have long finished their meals. They receive a dessert menu. "Wanna split two things? ...or three things, I flew a lot today."

"Raspberry cheesecake and the chocolate strata." They order these things. "I love flying but it's like swimming, you come on dry land and realize you're ravenous!"

"I don't go swimming very often but you're certainly right about flying."

"Swimming's less fun with wings. I think so, anyway, I'm sure some people make it work. Flying is more than enough to make up for it though."

"I might switch my wings out for penguin flippers or something for swimming."

"There's an idea. I was right I'd get attached, I never take mine off. I take showers with them hanging out past the curtain most of the time so I don't have to worry about drying them."

"Now I'm tempted to do odd things to my hands just to check if it bothers me."

"I'm not sure I would have done anything but wings and cleanup even if there wasn't the risk of mental changes! I liked how I looked."

"So did I but I wasn't above sacrificing my hair color for better magic. I used to be blonde, it wasn't even a terribly large shift."
