She has a vision involving her standing on tiptoe in bare feet on a rock in the middle of the water feature. It is probably not an intended way to interact with this park, but then, neither is taking racy pictures here in the first place. And with Daisy's help she thinks she can make it work.

Daisy will take the offered save and help with more pictures! They don't need to speak about how hot she finds Amaryllis. It is irrelevant to anything.

She ends up taking several more pictures past the amount technically required by the quest, because Daisy is very good and she doesn't want to stop doing this.

But, eventually, the sun sinks far enough in the sky that the light starts to change, and while this results in many more opportunities for pretty pictures, it also results in Amaryllis realizing she never got around to eating lunch.

"Um," she says. "I should probably go... eat... food... which I have not done in a while. It was really nice meeting you, you've been a huge help! Do you want to, um," blush blush blush, "maybe do this again sometime?" Blush blush blush. "Perhaps even at my house, with snacks?"

"I still don't know what that bonus objective is!" she complains, but then she sighs and—right, she left her phone charging in the other room—sets the oven timer to alert her around when she should check the pot on the stove for incipient boiling, then goes to sit down at her computer and scroll through comments to find some that she might like to reply to. Maybe there will be enough of them about her artistry that she won't have to think about the ones that are about her body.

Her three original pictures and her video only got a handful more comments, but the ones she uploaded before going out and the new batch very quickly start getting a lot more attention.

There probably are disproportionately many comments on the artistic merits of her pictures—if the home page is to go by, the majority (although not supermajority) of entries are not really Aiming For Art^tm—but in terms of volume, most are still complimenting her body and her clothes and their combination.

She responds to five comments about her artistry, clarifying which things she did on purpose and how, and which things came out that way by accident, and thanking people for complimenting her artistic skill. It's only mildly mortifying.

Then she heads back to the kitchen just in time to turn off that timer, resumes making spaghetti, and contemplates Bonus Objective #3.1.

The thing is, she really really really doesn't want to guess wrong. Guessing wrong is inherently embarrassing at the best of times; guessing wrong about which course of action would be worth 1,000xp and +1 LST sounds utterly terrible.

But, on the other hand... that's quite a bit of XP, and a whole free stat point. And it seems conceivable that she could guess it if she thinks it through and tries a few things? It's just that, if she tries something and fails and ends up having done something risky and embarrassing for no reason, she might end up hiding under a blanket forever. Probably not forever. Quite possibly for an absurdly long time.

It's a dilemma. A dilemma that can at least wait until she has made and eaten spaghetti.

Her replies to the comments... also get replies! Enthusiastic ones even! If she reads between the lines, it seems like there is a lowkey expectation on the website that most Flowers (the official name used by the website to refer to people who publish media on it) don't reply to comments very often or at all, opting to just post their things and not interact with them. But the replies are happy that she's around and there's a lot of repetition of the "welcome, love to have you here, off to a great start, your pictures are great, we hope you stick around with us etc etc etc" theme.

Oh no, she's liked and appreciated, what does she do. She is NOT going to sit on the floor and cover her face with her hands, she is going to MAKE SPAGHETTI.

Spaghetti is made. Spaghetti is eaten.

...she is forced to admit, looking back on how her day has gone, that so far she has been consistently rewarded for doing things in keeping with the spirit of the game even if she was not explicitly offered a reward for them. And so far nothing has turned out terribly, though she is also maintaining an awareness in the back of her mind that the game did specifically tell her she was recruited partly for her 'impressively alarming romantic history and ability to retain a sense of humour under pressure', which sounds like the sort of thing you say if you are planning to give somebody a hard time at some point and not otherwise.

Still. Maybe it'll be okay? Or maybe it'll be the cue for everything to start being terrible. But... probably it'll be okay. She thinks.

The incipient understanding that the Erogame will reward you for taking risks along your path towards being the ero heroine you're meant to be has increased your ERO by 1!

Slightly heartened by this message even though the stat increase also makes her a little nervous, she finishes the last of her spaghetti and tries to tackle this problem logically.

#3.1 is a subpoint off of #3, which is Go out in public wearing a very revealing and/or skimpy outfit (not necessarily lewd - short skirts and cleavage could all work). So it probably has something to do with revealing outfits and/or going out in public in them. It's worth 1,000xp, so it's probably a pretty big step. And it's worth +1 LST, which means it's... sexy? Isn't the whole video game about things being sexy? But it's not PRV so it's not kinky (or not primarily kinky) (though this isn't much information come to think because PRV presumably needs its own stat advancement quest before it can take another point), it's not BOD so it's not about her body and the showing-off thereof, it's not FUK or SED which involve interacting with other humans; it's LST, which is about... her lust, her being turned on by things.

Okay, think about this methodically. What alterations could she make to the outfit she wore to the park that would turn her on, her specifically, not some imagined observer, not a hypothetical other person with Hypothetical Normal Human Sexuality?

Going out completely topless would be utterly mortifying and she doesn't even actually think she finds it that sexy, insofar as she can even tell how sexy it would theoretically be if thinking about it didn't make her want to spend the rest of her days under a blanket; and it's a little too BOD, she thinks, a little too much about what other people see. Going out with a shirt but no bra... maybe sexy? She's not sure. It's definitely outfit-related and more about her own experience than other people's. But it's also something she's done before, though admittedly not in that particular shirt. It doesn't seem like nearly a big enough step to be worth all those experience points.

An idea is beginning to form and she does not think she likes it.

"I don't want to," she says aloud, although in fact nobody is trying to make her, it's a bonus quest objective and a hidden one at that. That's about as far from making someone do something as you can get while still presenting it as a thing you want done, in this context.

And... does she want to?

Mostly when she thinks about it she feels terrified and embarrassed and overcome by Hide Under Blanket Emotion. But she can't deny that it is also, maybe, a tiny bit hot. And that's a fair bit of XP. And a stat point. And she'd get to have this quest totally complete with all bonus objectives. And... maybe it would not be terrible?? Maybe??? Okay, let's be real, it's going to be pretty terrible, but if she successfully avoids being observed by any other human beings then she might be able to get through it without feeling the need to retreat under a blanket until the end of time.

"...fine," she sighs. "This is a bad idea and I'm going to regret it."

She changes back into the short swishy skirt and the shirt with the cleavage lacing. She doesn't put on a bra, and she doesn't put on panties. She spends an inordinately long time fiddling with her cleavage lacing in the mirror, trying to get the shirt to a point where it's not incredibly obvious that she doesn't have a bra on. She spends another inordinately long time pacing back and forth just inside her firmly closed front door. She detours to the kitchen to thoroughly clean up after her spaghetti, which she's aware is a laughably transparent method of stalling. She checks her whole outfit over twice to make sure she didn't accidentally get tomato sauce on it while transparently stalling.

She leaves her apartment with great trepidation, hurries down the back stairs and out the back door, and takes a few tentative steps onto the weird little stretch of grass behind the building, which she thinks is at least not not public while also fulfilling the very important criterion that it's really unlikely anyone will actually see her there. With every step, she is uncomfortably aware of what she isn't wearing. It does, admittedly, kind of turn her on, somewhere underneath the mountain of terror.

Quest begun: Treading Water

The next step of your life as an ero heroine has begun!

This quest does not have a main objective. Instead, it has multiple objectives, and you will be allowed to complete it and accept its rewards once you have completed at least three of them. Sub-objectives count separately—you can complete the quest, for instance, after you've completed objectives #1, #1.1, and #1.2.

This is the second quest in your stat advancement quest chain. You will not be able to advance your BOD stat any more than its current level until the last quest in the chain. At BOD 29, most forms of exhibitionism you would currently think of doing would not increase this stat, but if you go far enough above and beyond your current level of comfort you might get extra BOD points in addition to your 30th at the end.

Objective #1: Don't go back home just yet. Walk around in the evening air, see the sights, let other people see you. +1,000xp.
Objective #1.1: Let someone else notice you are not wearing underwear. The Erogame guarantees, using probability manipulation, that whoever this happens to will consider themself to have had a better day than otherwise, and they will not be creepy or weird about it at you. They will not otherwise interact with you if you do not want them to. +3,000xp, +1 ERO.
Objective #1.2: ???. +5,000xp, +1 SED.
Objective #2: Post at least one nude photo online somewhere it can get at least 25 comments on. This photo must show at least one nipple or your vagina to count. +500xp.

She's all set to FLEE IMMEDIATELY as soon as she sees a game window, but then the text Don't go back home just yet catches her eye, and she pauses, very uncomfortably, to read it.

Oh no... she has to decide whether to fulfill the first quest objective right now... it has a hidden bonus sub-objective that she presumably cannot take a minute to puzzle out alone in the comfort and safety of her own home—oh never mind, it's SED, the hidden bonus sub-objective is clearly to flirt with the person from #1.1. WELL WHAT IF SHE DOESN'T WANT TO DO THAT, GAME, WHAT THEN.

...if she doesn't want to do the hidden objectives she can just not do them. If she doesn't want to do the hidden objectives she can ignore them and do other things and she will just not get the quest rewards for them and it will be fine. 5,000 is a lot of XP but she doesn't need XP that badly. It's okay. She's okay.

She takes a few deep calming breaths. Quickly looks around to make sure she is still currently unobserved.

...she really, really, really wants to flee back to her nice safe apartment and curl up on her couch in her fuzziest bathrobe and not do ANY more exciting things ALL EVENING.

But first she has to decide whether or not to fulfill Objective #1.

...if she doesn't fulfill Objective #1... then later she is going to have to fulfill at least three out of 2, 3, 3.1, and 4. She doesn't even know what 4 is, but status effect "Full of Confidence" sounds frankly ominous. And #2 involves showing the internet her nipples (although she can already think of some suitably artistic ways to manage that) and #3 involves recording herself having an orgasm, which is terrifying, and let's not even get into #3.1—

By contrast, Objective #1 is basically just 'go for a quiet walk around the block'. A quiet, monumentally terrifying walk around the block. She has walked around this block many times before in her life. She is perfectly capable of doing it again. Nobody is going to see her nipples. Probably.

...someone might see something else but she can just not do that, right, she can just not. Even though #1.1 is not a hidden objective she can still, in fact, Just Not Do It.

Once again, every step is filled with a disquieting awareness. What is she doing. She probably hallucinated this whole thing. (She did not hallucinate this whole thing, she took video evidence specifically to guard against the possibility that she might be hallucinating this whole thing.) Someone is going to notice her state of undress and be horrible to her about it. (The game did just go out of its way to specifically promise that wouldn't happen.) Aaaaaaaaaaa. (Okay, the internal screaming is still valid.)

There is, once again, a breeze.

A skill has been created by a special action! Walking outside in honestly unreasonable attire for a Canadian evening has created the skill Ero Environmental Resistance.

Well, then. She can definitely feel the effects of that—or rather, not feel the uncomfortable and/or painful effects of cold against skin. At least not that much, it's definitely much diminished.

...that's pretty valid, although honestly, she could not even metaphorically hear the cold over the metaphorical sound of her own anxiety. What's left of the breeze is... pleasantly bracing. She'll take it.
