"Can anyone give a psychological example of how men and women are different?"

"Women are the weaker sex and more easily tempted."

"Of course not, dear, men and women are equal. Would you say that General Mulan or Princess Tiana is weak or equally tempted?"

"Isn't there supposed to be an exception to every rule? Also women are smarter."

She is mostly saying this to poke Fairy Godmother but it's a little bit to poke Claudine.

His best bet is probably going to be replacing "men" with "Chen" and going from there. "Men are more protective."

"Nat, women and men are equally intelligent, that's sexist. And all women, no matter how unusual, have an innate feminine nature, that's what makes them women. Very good, Sasha! Men are more protective." She writes that on the board. "Because men are protective, men should be chivalrous to women. Can anyone give an example of chivalry?"

Harry is pretty sure he has this one!

"When you have a bunch of prisoners, you torture the women first, so they get you before you're too tired to do a really good show."

"...does anyone else have any ideas?"

"Doesn't 'chivalry' just mean 'having a horse'? It's like cavalry, right?"

"Standing up for someone smaller than you if other people are trying to pick fights with them."

He doesn't expect that any of the other kids will miss that he's describing what a leader would do for a member of their gang, except maybe for Claudine who has never been in a gang, but Fairy Godmother almost certainly will.

"'Chivalry' and 'cavalry' are different words, Nat. Sasha, you're doing so well today!" She writes 'stand up for people smaller than you' on the board. "Sasha, since you're on a roll, can you say one way that men can be chivalrous to women?"

.....well. If he's going for protective.

"Making sure she has food even if you don't?"

"That's a stupid thing to do. If the man's supposed to be the leader and punch people who mess with his shit, then he needs to have the food when there isn't enough, or he'll be worse at punching." Harry draws himself up proudly. "I have often gone hungry for Uma."

"And that's an example of chivalry, Harry! Good job!"

"I don't know what that 'chivalry' thing is but it's not it. I'm her property. She owns me. It's my job to make sure she has food and to obey her orders and to make people who try to hurt her regret it, and she makes the plans and hits me when I fuck up and lets everyone know I'm her favorite property. Which I am."

"So, chivalry is the thing where you make sure she has food and make people who try to hurt her regret it, but not the thing where she hits you when you make mistakes or where she... owns you? Humans shouldn't own other humans."

"Why would I want to give someone food if I'm not their property? It's my food!"

"If you had enough to share and you wanted to make sure they got enough too, you might." That's aimed at Fairy Godmother more than at any of his classmates. "Or if you had a debt to them you wanted to pay, or if you were trying to make a show of good faith."

"The whole point of belonging to Uma," Harry grumbles, "is that she's the one who thinks about stuff like that."

"...Anyway," Fairy Godmother says, "the differences between men and women are particularly important in romantic relationships. Can anyone think of why that might be?"

"Most romantic relationships have at least one man and at least one woman in them?"

"All romantic relationships have exactly one man and one woman in them, Nat. That's what romance means."

Harry bursts out laughing.

"...You're joking."

"Nonmonogamy and homosexuality are sinful."

Sasha is very carefully silent.
