Oh. That's familiar. Sasha finds himself shifting closer to Asher. 

"It's sweet. Reminds me of Chen," he says, before he can remember that he is talking about the King of Auradon and stop himself. 

"I think it's because we're both ridiculous paladins! --How is Chen doing?"

"Better than he was, not that that's saying much, he was a mess for a few weeks after I started — whatever the word for the thing we're doing is — with Kaleva. Convincing him that sleeping with us will not magically transform him into a poisonous person who is intrinsically harmful to be around has been a challenge but I think we found a workaround, it's not perfect but it's working." 

"He'll get over it eventually, actually meeting other queer people helps."

"I sat on him until he agreed being bi was okay."

"And then we had to tell my mom we were wrestling."

Awwwww. "That's basically what Kaleva did too — Chen goes all soft and relaxed when there's any kind of weight on him, it's adorable." 

"So you and Kaleva and Chen are dating?"

"I don't pretend to understand the way people in Auradon talk about relationships, but I'm unofficially moved into their dorm so probably yes." 

"Cute!"

(Carlos and Jane are snuggling and talking quietly about movies.) 

Asher is looking at Sasha thoughtfully and curling a lock of his hair around one of his fingers.

He glances up at Asher and makes a soft questioning sound. 

"You're cute."

It is really unfortunate how he still blushes at sincere compliments. 

...although, if the effect he's going for is "cute," small and blushy with a borrowed sweater from Chen falling off his shoulder is working in his favor there. 

"Sorry, I'm usually more charmingly subtle! I blame having to talk to Chen."

"I don't know, I think you're charming."

Subtle? Nope. 

Asher catches the omission and laughs. "I could start over? Lovely weather we're having, Sasha."

"You could also keep being charming." 

That's even less subtle, but flirting with someone who is actually aware that that's what they're doing is fun. 

Asher catches his hand and kisses his wrist. "Well, then, the weather's not nearly as lovely as you."

He ducks his head. "I bet you say that to all the boys." 

"Yep! And I mean it every time."

He pulls Asher's hand towards him and very carefully kisses Asher's wrist, in the exact same place Asher kissed his. 

"I'm sure you do." 

King Ben, seeing this interaction, snorts. "Have you considered not trying to seduce everyone?"

"Hm, let me think about it." Asher's eyes flick up and down Sasha's body. "No."

That's a good way to be looked at, he's missed it. 

"I don't mind," Sasha says, not taking his eyes off of Asher. He glances at Asher's mouth, his shoulders, his arms, his chest, his mouth again, then goes back to looking him in the eye. "I like flirting with people who actually realize that's what we're doing."
