He blocks her, lashes out hard, a shield of wind swirling between them then stabbing at her - 

And he grunts as the girl throws a sword through his gut.

She counters the wind with a sheet of rock, and goes for a decapitation.

He dodges, using a wind blast to knock the girl off her feet, and lashing for Ellisaria with a hand sheathed in water sharpened like a drill.

Of course it can't be easy. She jumps backward for a bit of breathing space and starts tearing up chunk of earth to pelt him with.

Most of them are pulverized before they can reach him, and he easily dodges the others. Water tears its way out of the nearby pipes, spiraling towards her.

Mm. This is not going especially well. She can hold him off, but he's too focused to kill alone. She starts pulsing her chakra in the dot-code pattern. With luck, her half-Ascended sensor will respond.

He's not wasting the water he's gathering, and the more he has the greater and faster his blows.

Though the girl's back on her feet and giving him trouble - 

And soon enough an angry and on fire Karin arrives. She thrusts a palm out and a chain lashes at their target, smashing his barriers and forcing him to dodge. Then, to Ellisaria: "You have some explaining to do, but for now - plan?" She doesn't seem particularly affected by being-on-fire, except for how it's possible contributing to her ill temper.

"This one is immune to chakra and magic, but affected by physical attacks. We need to distract him enough to drop his guard, then kill him. Ranged attacks are best, he can drain you if you get too close."

"I'm at a disadvantage there - I have plenty of chakra, but my main immediate attack's solidified chakra. That barrier weakened it. I wonder... Distract him while I talk to weapon girl, okay? I might have an idea."

"Don't take too long about it. There are other battles to fight."

Back into the fray.

There's a good bit of conspiring - fast - and dragging someone else into the plot - also fast - 

And then a bright, triangular seal springs into place under their opponent's feet, hums, brushes against his absorption barrier, and then explodes quite spectacularly and messily.

There's a sharp laugh from weapons girl, and a "I told you those'd conflict!" from Karin.

But does it do enough damage?

He's not dead but as the dust clears he's certainly badly injured. He bursts forwards, putting on more speed than before, is faster than Karin, his main target - 

-is not quite fast enough not to run into a dragon tail swinging the other way at speed.

He's thrown, but he gets up, glances her way - 

"Rocket guy's back up!" Karin shouts -

As a hailstorm of explosives arcs for them from the clifftop.

Someone's cheating. She sends a flare of lightning to intercept the rockets.

Shield guy is backing up, apparently trying to get distance, possibly to heal - 

A faintly shimmer but basically invisible whip wraps around weapon girl's waist, and drags her into... Something.

And there are more rockets behind the ones destroyed.

If they're going to cheat, then so will she. She flashes a mirror image beside her to keep handling the rockets, while she herself goes after the shielder.

"If you can do that again," she snarls over her shoulder, "now would be a good time."

"That one needs three people - I'll figure something out - "

(That 'something' looks like a whirlwind of glowing chains that sink into the ground around their target. It doesn't make the shield explode again - instead the shield flickers out, and small burns form on the man's exposed skin when he tries to reinforce it.)

If that means he's vulnerable to magic now, she'll take it.
