She is somewhere else. Very much against her will - somewhere else.
That's fine (though some people will consider her rude if she does this on busy streets), and she should stay lower than the top of the tallest building in town and about yea far from the airport and check applicable local laws if she leaves the state.
She'll copy the important parts while she's here so she can find her plot.
Then she will go fly out to her plot and appear a bungalow on it.
It’ll take a significant fraction of an hour for people to start coming by to offer to protect the place from scrying or fire or to hire her for other construction projects.
She will take a bid on protecting the place from fire. She needs some selectivity in the scrying protections, it needs to allow unimpeded potentially unpredictable forms of scrying by her friends who are in another plane. She can do more bungalows but if she's doing more than one in a day she'll need mana from some other people and she's never tried it on any Hari mage before.
This illusion mage can easily protect only her bedroom from scrying and can maybe try something that only hedges out people on this plane but their idea for how to do that has never been tested.
This landlord doesn’t need anything built before tomorrow but volunteers to rent a slave to test mana-tapping on.
"I don't want my friends to think their scrying didn't work if I happen to be in my bedroom at the time. I will only perform tests on individuals who I am convinced have uncoercedly volunteered and this will be exceptionally hard to demonstrate to me in a slave."
She doesn't love the public bedroom, but the worst thing would be if they tried scrying her, bounced off, and tried something more dangerous.
She has a nap.
Then she goes and puts up her sign and returns to the park.
"Well, I don't know all about them, and can't from here look anything up to confirm what I do remember, but I can answer some questions!"
"I am from a country called the Magisterian Imperium. It has an Emperor and various government offices that serve at his pleasure and it has diplomacy with the other countries on my native planet."
"Typically by primogeniture inheritance. Diplomacy is - wow, I guess you basically wouldn't have it at all, would you - usually each country in a pair that has a diplomatic relationship will emplace an ambassador in the other country to represent their interests to each other, they have to learn each other's languages and stuff, uh, they do things like - explain situations that would look provocative, or... rephrase things so they're polite in each other's cultures, or... uh... generally try to make each other's countries present in the minds of their opposite numbers, so they don't totally forget there's another country around that wants stuff."
"What jobs did your parents do, what kinds of magic are there, what did you eat, what did your cities look like - did you have cities - where did you sleep, what kinds of hobbies did you have, what kinds of art did people make - or did they make art? Is your house here like your house there? Did your parents stay together after you were born?"
"Last time I checked my father was a police officer and my mother taught kindergarten. I ate - okay do you want, like, sense impressions of actually decent human food, I miss it, there's practically nothing here - yes cities, here's a mental image of one - I had a bedroom with a bed in it, at home, and a dorm room that was also a bedroom with a bed in it at college - people made movies and books and paintings and stained glass and sculptures and music and, and quilts and all kinds of things - my house here is not very much like the one I grew up in because the spell I used can't make it two stories tall or add most kitchen appliances - my parents divorced when I was a baby but that's atypical, most first marriages among humans in the Imperium last, I specify 'first' because once somebody's divorced once their odds of staying married the second time drop a lot."
"I would like sense impressions of foods and I would like recipes! - You won’t find decent human food here, this city has hardly any humans. Also, what can you tell me about marriage?"
BREAD. Ice cream. Scrambled eggs. Muffins. Sausages full of garlic. "Marriage is a thing common in most human and many other cultures where people pair-bond and have a social recognition ceremony about it, or, less commonly especially among humans, form more complicated lasting partnerships not in pairs but still have a social recognition ceremony about it. Usually married humans will inherit their dead spouse's stuff if widowed, and coparent all their children even if the children aren't all both of theirs by blood though most will be, and live in the same house and stuff."
"Whoa. How do you make - you know what, do you want to come to my family's house in Elit City and cook and we'll buy ingredients for it?"
