Edie was perusing the latest correspondence from her fork. She still should have been paying enough attention to realize that the door didn't go where it ought before it swung shut and she couldn't sense anyone else anymore, but she wasn't.
After opening and closing the door a couple times to make sure she hadn't just been abducted somehow, she looks around.
The door has been known to temporarily overtly keep people in, but this is atypical and does not tend to last longer than a subjective day or two.
It most typically manifests when someone encounters the bar only to attempt to immediately turn around and leave.
"And the landlords want them to at least give it a chance?"
That would be the obvious conclusion, but all my evidence is circumstantial.
"We can take back over here if you want," he says to Imliss.
"Thanks, I'm kind of emotionally exhausted right now when I'm not hopped up on high-octane happiness songs."
"Yeah, I don't blame you. Get some rest, we'll guard against my alt and miscellanous wanderers-in."
"Thanks," she says.
She goes upstairs.
She heads for her sister's room instead of her own.
She pounds on the door.
"If you're doing something I'd rather not witness, please finish as quickly as you can and then come let me in, I really need to hug my sister right now."
"What happened?" Idaia asks when they've gotten the door open and Imliss has all but fallen on her clinging as much as Tyelcormo usually does these days.
"The way I did it, not in general...or maybe it's not that it's a bad idea, just--I said some things I needed to say, but they hurt."
Hugs. She does not seem terribly inclined to share what she had to say, just to hug her sister.
"Great," she says, smothering a yawn. "Come hug me in a bed so I can go back to sleep."
