"I shouldn't care what judgmental inanimate objects would think," he mutters. "I will after some effort cease to in fact care what judgmental inanimate objects would think."

"I think that's a good decision. ...might not even affect you, they actually did a lot of morally wrong things..."

"If I weren't indestructible I'd go up like flashpaper, let's not kid ourselves."

Squeeze. "I'm sorry. The magic rocks are bad at their job. Well, that one of their jobs; apparently they also kill the Enemy and that's lovely."

Squeeze. "Yeah, killing the Enemy is pretty keen."

"And a couple decades out on human immortality."

"That'll be nice."

"Yeah."

"Especially since summoning doesn't work there."

"And especially since that version of my brother apparently has a mortal wife and copes with her absence approximately as well as I cope with Angband."

"Yeah, that too."

"Bar, can we have something to eat - it's been quite a day -"

Sure. He hugs Cam and sits down and eats. 

And he stops downstairs - "couple dozen drink orders, Bar, if it's not too much trouble, we're celebrating - oh, no, what happened."

"Later."

"What'cha celebrating?" Cam asks, as a tray of drinks appears.

"Got a way to leave a conjurable distress message on your chip. Not through a blessing at all, just through the indelible chip-writing mechanism you also invoke for oaths. I'm sure there's a way around it but the only one I expect to actually be in use is 'forking people from before they're taught how to do this' and we might be able to regularly check for that without too much trouble."

"Oh, cool. Congratulations."

He gives them both another searching look and takes the drinks and heads upstairs. 

"There's a new me. He's kind of a wreck - was in Angband - and you might scare him so tread carefully if you see him. Has a human haircut."

"I'll keep an eye out, thank you."

"Brought in the complete set of Fëanaro and sons from that world," Cam adds, "and the Tyelcormo is married to another Edie so her and her sister are here now too, they're human."

"Quite the little circus you're acquiring. Is there an accessible me?"

"Didn't sound like it, didn't ask specifically."
