Jenn considers the two of them. "I'll go first," she decides. "I can help catch you two."

"Right. I'm not sure I should be leaving you for last - " she says to Bina, who just squares her jaw and sets her stance. Elizabeth raises her hands. "But we don't have time to argue. We should set a rhythm for swinging, move together."

"Either of you know It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing?"

"...Nope."

"...That's a song?"

Jenn actually laughs. "Yes. It is. I know the words at least."

And she starts singing.

Bina and Elizabeth will sing along - Elizabeth more mumbling, though Bina doesn't know most of the words either.

They slowly swing closer and closer to the scaffold.

Jenn watches the scaffolding, gauging the distance, breaks her singing to yell: "Next swing," over the air and rain rushing around them.

"Right!" Elizabeth yells back, and Bina nods.

The gondola reaches its apogee.

And Jenn leaps - she doesn't quite make it look effortless, but she makes it to the scaffolding, twisting immediately so she's out of the way, but also ready to catch the other two.

Two swings, and Elizabeth jumps, making it - not easily, she slams into the scaffolding again, but she succeeds and then immediately starts climbing down.

One swing. Bina climbs onto the railing.

Two. She gets ready to jump.

And up above, speaking to her watch:

"Are you certain?"

"It's not that I don't trust you. It's just that you said we didn't do this until after..."

"But this reduces our advantage-"

"Alright. Fine."

"No. No. I'll do it. -That many? I don't think the watch will..."

"I understand."

"I will call them right away."

This happens at the worst possible time.

Bina's arm flares, blindingly bright green, right as she jumps.

And she reaches as she falls.

And Jenn half lunges off the scaffolding to catch her, managing to snag Bina's wrist.

She doesn't scream as she feels her shoulder being torn from the socket.

She does scream as she feels her fingers spasm and lose their grip: "Bina!!"

Bina screams.

Until she doesn't.

Jenn's swearing again, awkwardly swinging herself down the scaffolding. (Bina can't be dead, she can't-)

She let's herself drop the last few feet, scrambling towards Bina, uninjured arm reaching out to try and find a pulse.

Nope.

(And something stirs out in the mud.)

Jenn spots it. "Shit. Shit. Elizabeth! We need to run. Now."

She doesn't want to leave Bina here. But-

But they don't have a choice. That doesn't look good.

Elizabeth doesn't throw up when she sees Bina's body.

"She's dead," she says, hollowly. It's not even a question.

"There's - I've memorized the map. We can barricade ourselves in certain places, or there's a subway - we can exit there."

"Lead then!" Jenn barks, already starting to run.

Elizabeth takes off.

She's pretty good at running, for a construction manager.
