Jenn hurls the flashlight in her hand at Ira. Jenn has very good aim.

Ira stumbles backwards and falls down as the flashlight hits her in the head.

Elizabeth throws the controls at Ira - is close enough to clip her shoulder and ear - starts looking for a place to run - Ira's blocking most of it - she darts to the right which is freer -

Bina flashes the bright green light at Ira right as the controls hit her - causing them to spark and explode. Probably only gonna singe her, but Bina'd rather not have the murderer in charge of the buttons.

"Elizabeth! You might need to jump!" she yells.

"Yes. Jump. Now."

She can't get past.

She turns, jumps -

And makes it, slamming into the side of the gondola, starting to slip -

Jenn grabs a hold of her, throwing herself backwards to haul the other woman on board. "Bina! The controls! Take us down!"

Bina jabs the down button.

The gondola creaks, sways, and starts lowering.

Jenn swears quietly. "You okay?" she asks Elizabeth.

"My ribs don't like me but I don't think I broke anything."

"Thanks. For the save."

"We can check them later." Jenn squints up at the receding hole. "I don't know how long she'll be down for."

"Head injuries can be unpredictable, yeah... Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll fall off the edge..."

"I don't think we're gonna be that lucky. I'm more concerned about the fact that this gondola is powered by the crane up there."

"Yeah. It wouldn't be hard for her to cut the power. The wire itself'd be harder, and she can't get us back up, looks like the controls got fried, but - "

"Hanging in the middle of the air: not a good place to be."

-Which is, abruptly, exactly what is happening.

Jenn swears again.

"Crap," she says, earnestly and with feeling. "We're still easily ten meters above the ground."

"Technically survivable," Jenn murmurs, looking around for another option.

"We'd break bones. At least."

"Uhhhhh guys I'm not sure you'll like this but I have an idea."

"We could swing the gondola. Grab those power lines over there. Climb down."

Jenn considers that, squinting out into the dark. "I'd be worried about any damage. Electrocution isn't going to be any fun. Is that...a pylon? Out there?"

"Yeah." She flicks the flashlight - left hand this time.

It's barely visible. "Looks like scaffolding." It's farther, outside the camp, over the mud.

"Might be safer if we miss - mud's a gentler landing."

"And I'm less worried the scaffolding won't support our weight. Okay. I'll take the backpack." It isn't a suggestion.

Bina hands it over. "I'm going last." Her tone allows no argument.
