There are many people that a gang could set upon on a night, and even get away the victors. But even with the advantage of numbers, attacking the four tipsy people who'd been weaving down the street has turned out to be very much the wrong decision. Because the four tipsy people are in fact military trained. That they're tipsy barely impedes their reactions. It doesn't take them long to have it over with, breathing a little rushed, faces flushed with adrenaline and grins.
"Not at all!" Angelique says, getting to her feet to cross over to them. "I didn't know you were coming to visit!"
"Sorry, for showing up without warning, but we really wanted to discuss something with you."
"You know you're always welcome!" Pause. "Oh, Aaren, Percy, Lan, these are Felicia, Fernanda and Theresa."
Aaren is definitely having A Reaction, although that is probably less obvious to people who aren't empaths.
The sisters wave as their names are called with practiced easy. They all smile politely, but Felicia smiles brighter. She turns towards Percy...
Percy (who is an empath and totally noticed that reaction) speaks like he is answering a question. "I am alright. I am just experiencing a power overload at least an order of magnitude stronger than I ever had before." He still is kinda of basking at Felicia.
Aaren's recovered enough to add his own greeting, even as he reaches over to squeeze Percy's shoulder.
Angelique laughs. "You flatter me!" And sets about playing hostess and pouring the triplets cups and plating up cake for them. "What did you wish to discuss with me? You seem very excited!"
Angelique bursts into delighted laughter. "I knew if anyone could manage it it would be you three!"
"Pretty great implications," Theresa says. "So of course we came to our favorite well-connected magical person to share the great news."
"We can't have good boys eating evil vegetables. In that case, do you want to give it a try?" Felcia turns to Aaren. "We have two, you can take turns."
