"From me. My acolyte explained that I can create things like that, did she not?"

"She did. I'm just not sure it'll work. Can I try some?"

"To your right."

There is now a plate with a small human-looking arm sitting atop a convenient rock.

Does it also smell like human flesh?

Yes, it's very realistic.

He takes a bite.

It tastes like human.

He enjoys his meal.

When the arm is gone, he resurfaces, wiping his mouth on his sleeve.

"Okay, that should work. I'll explain that part to them, which should work until the druids have something. Mmm."

His father does pipe in with a question about what Ellayania's law will be, if she founds her own nation.

"It's actually pretty rare for gods to directly govern mortals. They mostly exist separate from that. There's ones at home whose domain spans multiple politcal jurisdictions."

The lawyer has many questions about this! Should she be imagining a god as a multinational corporation, a trade alliance...

Her attempts to explain international law are interrupted by her son.

"Can I talk to you guys for a minute?"

They agree, and wander off, leaving the druid and the acolyte with their goddess.

"International relations seem complicated."

"They generally are. If you did want to navigate them, a lawyer specializing in that would be preferable."

"It'll be a while before things get that far."

"It's worth considering, though. I can't imagine people won't follow a god that actually intervenes."

The conversation seems to be going well, mostly.

It might be rude to listen in, but it is her domain...

She always pays attention when interesting things are happening.

"...hoping to have something better, but in the meantime, she can make food for us, anywhere in her domain."

"Can she make enough?"

"She can, and if you have to wait, then wait."

"We don't need this, we're doing fine on our own."

"They don't think so. If we do what they want, we won't have to kill people anymore."

His family members look resigned and resentful by turns.

Hmm.

She creates several entire legs, and manifests them at the feet of the wendigos.

This seems to distract them, if that was the goal.

They feast.

"Ellayania, how are they doing?"

"Skeptical, but they may be amenable to persuasion."

"I never really expected it would be possible to even go this far. Wendigos are notoriously hungry, and our spells so far can't reduce that."
