"Oh. She and I should probably talk, we haven't really. Okay, I'll tell Stiles." 

He texts this information and then glances at the clock.

"I think it's almost time for dinner. Do you feel okay about the math right now?"

"Communication is important, Scott. Your mother worries about you, I think math and I are getting along fine."

"Okay. I'll make dinner and we'll talk when she gets home." 

Isaac is zoned out in front of the tv when they get downstairs. 

"Oh, are we food now?" 

"Yeah. Any preferences, Pascale?"

"Something exotic and local."

"Do you like fish? There's nothing more California and exotic than sushi." 

"Sounds good!"

"You don't mind waiting half an hour, do you? We usually wait for my mom unless she has a late shift." 

"No, that's fine."

"Okay. If it's your first time having it, I should probably take you out, have something fresh and authentic. Uh, did my mom take you clothes shopping?"

"She did not."

"Um. Isaac, do you want to help?"

"It's a little late to go shopping. Stiles will need a day to forge everything anyway, or talk to his dad, whichever. Tomorrow after school. I'll take her."

"Okay. Do we need the trusty Jeep?"

"Actually, I was thinking I could have Derek take us." 

"If you're sure? That sound okay to you, Pascale?" 

"Yeah, I'd like to meet him."

"Derek can be prickly. He doesn't trust most people, so be careful. If Isaac introduces you it shouldn't be too bad." 

"I'm always careful."

"Try not to flirt with the students."

"She won't flirt with the students! You won't, right?"

"She said she's older than she looks. How old are you?"

"I stopped keeping track somewhere in the mid-thirties. And I'm making no promises of any sort about flirting."

"An older woman, huh? Better keep her away from Stiles. And Derek."
