Hmmm, she can afford a bit more distraction before getting back to the grind of daily life...

James is only too happy to oblige.

Ellie, meanwhile, deals with the two known horcruxes. She cuts through Voldemort's protections around the Gaunt house with ease, slashing the fascination jinx and wasting curse off the ring before exorcising the fragment of spirit with a Killing Curse. She pries the Resurrection Stone out of its setting and pockets it before stashing the ring back under the floorboards. She'll hang onto it in case she finds a use for it.

Then, to the cave by the seaside. She actually has a plan for this one, concocted over several quiet lunchtimes of idle musing a year or two ago. It goes a little like this: step one, get inside. Step two,

BURN IT ALL WITH FIRE

Step three, find a nice restaurant for dinner.

And, she supposes, step four, wait for her new allies to get in contact.

Fay reaches out with her new identity soon enough, plus a request - "Lily would like to meet you when you're ready. Hogsmeade work for you?"

"That's fine. When's the next free weekend for her?"

"For you? Next weekend, I bet."

"Next weekend it is."

"I'll let her know."

"Thanks. Any word from your contact?"

Hum. "Somewhat - she says she'll find me at some point to talk."

"All right. Let me know if I need to kill anyone or anything."

"Will do."

And the next Saturday, Ellie will apparate to Hogsmeade to meet Lily.

Lily's there early. 

"Hey."

"Hey there yourself." She gestures at James. "This is my girlfriend, James."

"Nice to meet you."

"You too. Lily's told me all about you."

"All that she knows."

"A score I'm planning to increase."

"Yes, Fay intimated that you were quite eager to make this meeting happen."

"We didn't get to speak for nearly long enough, last time."

"We've all day now."
