Why is it, you may be wondering, that fair Westcrown burned, when it is full of loyal subjects of the Queen good and true?

I was caught in the middle of that horrible rioting, and I can say why: the depredations of the Calistrian whore, VALIA WAIN.

Good reader, I laid my own two eyes upon VALIA WAIN that evening, and saw a thing terrible to behold, the Calistrian whore's malice not concealed in silks and perfumes, but unveiled for all to see. My friend, it pains me to recount it, but she laughed and cackled quite merrily as the city was put to the torch at her direction. I shrunk back in fear as her awful mob set upon the holy Select of Iomedae and strung him from a lamp-post, and it was VALIA WAIN herself who did this deed with her own hands.

Oh, that I had been a mighty Paladin, able to free the good Select from the grip of VALIA WAIN!

By the grace of Iomedae and Her Angels, order was restored and VALIA WAIN captured; I have heard it said that she is to be quartered and maledicted by IOMEDAE HERSELF APPEARING BODILY, in vengeance for Her Select that was so greatly wronged. May Hell enjoy receiving its great friend!

Friends, pray to Iomedae for our gracious Queen, and patronize NO Calistrian whores!

Pamphlets are usually full of garbage, and this one appears to be no exception, confusing the Select of Iomedae Valia Wain with the Avenger of Calistria Victoria Ferrer.  But, the two have associated together enough for Thea to wonder if there is some grain of truth to it?  Perhaps Victoria was eagerly celebrating the dead nobles and participating in a mob.  It would make her a hypocrite given the deaths of innocents the riots caused, but hypocrites aren’t that uncommon.  Or maybe she was outright lying about her concerns and priorities.  Thea will work out with Dia some strategies to probe Victoria about her role in the riots.
