Heeeee.

She's content to walk around holding hands and taking pictures and looking at cool things for a while, then.

Sounds nice.

It is!

Eventually, however, they have to leave.

Still, Lianne's had fun.

So has Kaylee!  She's almost back to normal by the time Emma rolls around to pick them up.

"Trip go well?"

“Yeah,” she says, a little distantly.  Let’s not talk about her mental breakdown with Lianne’s sister who Kaylee has Mixed Feelings about.

"Cool." And she takes them back to their hotel room.

Kaylee's quiet, on the way back.  She keeps holding Lianne's hand as long as Lianne lets her.

That's pretty much 'until she needs it for something else', so...

Lianne is Very Good.

Kaylee is Very Good.

She's very lucky, too.

She leans her head on Lianne's shoulder and - well, doesn't actually go to sleep, not in the car, but.  It's been a long couple days.

It has.

They're back at the motel soon enough, though.

She yawns and stretches, even though she wasn't quite asleep, and climbs out of the car alongside Lianne.

"So I need to talk to you guys about something," she says as they head into the motel, "Though it might wait until you've slept."

"I think I'm okay to talk now..."  She looks at Lianne.

Slow nod. "Yeah, I am too."

“All right,” she says, and turns back to Emma.

(She’s - gonna keep one eye on Lianne, though, and take her cues from her.  Probably it will be super obvious that she’s doing so, but... but.)

"First: I bought a gun."

She - nods, slowly.  "And you - want us to - enchant it?"

"Yes. If you know how..." She sets it on the coffee table.

"I - don't, really," Kaylee says.  She looks from the gun to Lianne.  "We could talk to Mal?"

"Yeah, she's more likely to know something..."

She makes a show of fumbling for her phone while she pings Lianne: 'You up for - giving her a magic gun?  I feel like I don't... know what to think of her.'

'Uh. I don't think she'll randomly murder people but I also don't think she'd hesitate to shoot someone threatening me or her. But I don't know magical girls are more vulnerable to enchanted guns than normal guns? Enchanting may only help against witches, and I don't think she'd - jump into a fight she didn't need to be in?'
