His doesn't.

She was really expecting that he would be more amenable to cooperation once he realized the futility of running off. Most people do not prefer dying in the desert to being taken prisoner.

She's going to sedate him again, and drag him back to Reim the boring way.

Hey guess fucking what: the Delay Poison spell lasts for an hour per level!

???

This worked before.

She's not going to give a bigger dose in case it's a delayed reaction, or a counterdrug she doesn't understand, and it kills him. [Sleep] didn't work last time; she doesn't expect it to now. It's not, actually, safe to knock out a human with physical force; it would be so much easier if he were a String Person. [Stun] is more likely to work, but it only lasts hours, it's a long way to Reim, and repeated use can cause permanent damage.

She stands there, needle in hand, for a few seconds as she tries to figure this out.

She's overthinking this. A consequence of abundant access to resources for too long. She has rope in her Bag of Holding. Is Blai going to put up a fight if she grapples and trusses him up?

Yes, actually, he has this masterwork spear now; it looks exactly like a stick but don't be fooled.

Okay, but she's a legendary adventurer and he's not even a martial class. She's going to steal the stick which looks like a stick but is actually a masterwork spear, by the way.

How tragic. How does she feel about his armor being spiky?

Her armor is artifact-grade and has gauntlets, and she is capable of not mashing her unarmored face into the spikes. Her ropes are not spike-proof, but she can just remove the armor. He's certainly achieved becoming incredibly inconvenient.

Any chance he can land a Hold Person before she's got his arms?

Protection from Chaos?

He's successfully identified her as Chaotic, because it works, and as not summoned, because it doesn't prevent her from touching him.

Being slightly more slippery doesn't prevent him from being tied up. She's now going to get a ten-foot pole from her Bag of Holding, tie Blai to the end of it so he can't try anything funny, and start walking, holding him out in front of her within her field of view.

He's not going to, like, take steps, like this. She can snowplow the desert with him, he guesses.

No, she's, like, lifting him in the air. She's actually going to need a counterweight on the other end so she doesn't fall over. Good thing she recently looted all of this armor off an uncooperative prisoner.

The armor is still spiky, that lasts nearly an hour. But he can be hoisted like any other 150lb man.

Ugh. You know what, now she's out of combat, [Dispel Magic]. On the armor, and on Blai, whatever he was doing earlier; she couldn't quite tell.

Oh, you mean Delay Poison? Now he's deadweight. Good thing she didn't up the dose. Well, good for her, presumably, he hears it's lovely in Axis at all times of year.

Good thing she didn't up the dose. Well, good for her; he seems to be doing his best to get himself killed. Now she can just haul him on her back like normal deadweight. It should be ten hours before he wakes, but even if not, she'll be able to tell if he's close to waking up by his life signs.

If she says ten hours his narration will take her word for it.
