"Juliet, thank you for calling me back. Where are you?"

"We're staying at a motel out of town. We- I'm with Matt."

"Of course you are. Would you like me to come pick you up? I've rented a house in town."

"Ah- no? Not really, I can't. I don't really want to be around- people."

"Are you coming to the funeral?"

"Yes, we'll be there. When is it?"

"Tomorrow. I've put together an outfit for you, I noticed you didn't take much with you with you left the house. Do you need money?"

"We can talk about it then. What time?"

"Eleven o'clock. You can meet me the church beforehand, I'll help you get ready."

"Sure. I'm a doll, fragile and useless. Dress me up as you will."

"I'll see you then, Juliet. Be safe."

Juliet hangs up and sighs.

"I'll be there. We can just ignore everyone else. Just you and me and our cameras against the world."

She nods. "We're a pack now." She leans against him and takes his hand. "Do you feel different? Can you feel it?"

"I feel closer to you than I ever have."

He kisses her, and this feels the same.

It does feel the same and she kisses him back.

"I just thought- I can feel you. Physically, but I thought there would be more."

"Maybe you need to do something? Or I do. Try reaching out to me with your mind?"

She closes her eyes and does something. Tries to reach out-

-she senses something. It's hers. Her pack.

...she tries to feel it out, bring it closer.

He will come. He is hers. She has called her pack. She is the alpha.

Juliet feels a surge of energy.

"Are you, uh, doing it? I'm not sure what it's supposed to feel like."

"I can feel it. But-"

...does it feel like Matt?

She doesn't know Matt's presence through this sense- but it's not him. She can feel and smell and see him, and he's not the one she's calling.

-she cuts off the connection.

"Let's go back to the motel. Now."
