"I don't think that can change. Even now, after what he did... it's still you. Becoming a werewolf won't change how I feel about you."

"Maybe. Are you sure I'm ready?"

"Yes. But you have to be sure. We can't have uncertainties."

"How did you learn to control it? Between you and me, I think you're a stronger person than I am."

"I've been this way since I was five years old. It was hard. But. I'll be there with you. You've helped me so much."

"After the funeral. I don't want to miss that. After the funeral we leave this town, and you turn me."

She pulls him down to her and kisses him.

"Yes. We'll be powerful and we'll find him and make him pay for what he did."

Matt decides it's a good thing they didn't put on their clothes yet.

Convenient, that.

Eventually, Matt decides to get clean, and once they're both dressed, he points out: "If we go to my place, I'll have to call my parents. How do you feel about just renting a hotel room?"

"I have some cash on me, but the bank has put most of my accounts on hold during the investigation."

"If I withdraw too much at once, they'll freeze mine. I can ask Coach for a loan, withdraw as much as won't be suspicious, and Bentley might be willing to lend me some if I explain..."

"We have a safe... I don't know the combination though. But there's sure to be a lot of money in there."

"We have a few options. We can tap all of them. I don't plan to come back."

She heads down to the library and heads straight to the hidden safe in the wall.

"It's probably something stupid. Like- his birthday, or mine."

Matt doesn't say anything. This seems private. He just holds her hand.

She tries a couple of combinations, getting more and more frustrated with each try.

"This is stupid. This is my house, if I want this, I should have it."

...she lets go of his hand and rips the safe out of the wall.

"That's one way to do it."

She cracks it open some more and reveals it contents.

"Ah. That has to be... a lot. Couple thousand at the very least," she pauses and picks up a delicate necklace, "this looks expensive."

"Do you think he would come back for that? Jewelry kept in a safe is either very expensive or sentimental."

Juliet turns it over in her hands. "It looks kind of familiar... like I've seen it before, but-"

She stands and runs up the stairs.

Matt follows her.

"Juliet? What is it?"

She goes into Stefan's room and heads straight towards a shelf. On it, apart from the books, is an old photograph.

Pictured is a beautiful woman, the photograph has aged a lot, but very clearly they can see that she wears a necklace around her neck. Identical to the one Juliet holds in her hands.

Juliet laughs. "This is perfect. He'll definitely be wanting this back."

"Something we can use."

He puts an arm around her shoulder, kissing her neck.
