It's her first evening away from home, and even Papa's strong mental presence has left her range by now.
It's lonely.
She knows that humans aren't lesser than mutants, per se, but she's still used to a different flavor of minds thrumming against hers when she's trying to go to sleep.
She and Emily aren't the only mutants on campus, though. There aren't a lot of them, but there's one other, at least...

She's never done this either, so his inexperience goes unnoticed. And telepathy is a very effective teaching aide.
Well, what he lacks in experience, he makes up for in enthusiasm. And he’s definitely a fan of the telepathy.
It will probably take her actually telling him to stop before he backs off.
Once she does, though, he’ll come up next to her on the bed.

She has muscle, but it's more the corded type than the bulky type and there's plenty of soft on top of it. You're so nice and warm.
It doesn’t exactly have lips that it could kiss her with, but it licks her cheek affectionately.
She giggles and catches the tip of the tongue between her teeth, giving it a light nip.
She trails one hand up to the neckmouth, presenting her fingertips for nibbling.
The teeth are very sharp, so it bites very gently. Her fingers get licked a little in the process.
Oh, nice.
The mouth bites down just a little harder – not enough to draw blood, though.
