"Not exactly. After Derek killed Peter, he thought he would inherit me, since I was Peter's beta...but I rejected him, and he didn't force me, and now I don't have an alpha. Derek could try to control me, but he didn't turn me, and alphas who didn't turn a beta have less power over them."

"Okay, no obvious solution to that problem yet. No good solution at least. Side-question: Are you aware of other kinds of mind-effecting magic? Because I want to make my top priority defending both of us against that. We're dangerous if controlled by the wrong people."

"Besides alphas, there's not a lot that I know about. Maybe druids can do something like that, but not very powerful even if they can...ask Dr. Deaton about that. I guess becoming a kanima counts, but most people won't do that. If you have unresolved issues and you get bitten or scratched, you turn into a kanima. Kanimas are controlled by a master."

"I don't know if they can usually do whole people. Peter did once, but that might have been a special case. We don't really know much about how banshees work."

"We don't really know. They're psychic, they sense deaths before they happen, they resurrect alphas...our friend Lydia is one. You can meet her, if that might help."

"Yes, it is a very scary power. My dreamshaping created dozens before I woke up and could control it again. I used that aspect of the power voluntarily only once and that only because dozens would die if I didn't."
