"I am so sorry," Henry says sympathetically.

"We won. Most of my friends are okay. It could be worse. This spell should help make the next one easier."

"Yes. You should try write it down so others can use it as a memorized spell. Have you ever tried free-writing? Just writing what you think? Similar principle but you focus on the spell meaning."

"I never have before, but I can give it a shot."

He grabs some paper and a pen.

"How should I start?"

"Just think if you had to explain the spell without using the magic word itself, describing each detail and nuance, no judgment or overthinking just let the words flow, if they are wrong you can erase them later, the important is that you are writing at all, writing anything is progress we can edit and prune later."

So he tries. He closes his eyes, and writes.

That can go on for a while, but Scott gets the hang of it soon enough. Occasionally, Henry looks over his shoulder but doesn't comment anything until he asks Scott to start over.

"So now I can share this with other people?"

"Yes, anyone with spellcasting so at least Lydia. Since you already have an innate, I suppose I could go ahead and teach you the other elements of spellcasting, so you can make scrolls and eventually magical spellbooks."

"Anything that would let us heal more people."

"Sure thing. Hey, do you mind if we check on Gabe first? I think he can be awoken by now."

"Yeah, we should check up on everyone."

"Sure, that is Lydia, Stiles, Kyra, I guess eventually your mom and Stiles' dad? Anyone else? I haven't met Kyra yet."

"Oh. I do think Kira would appreciate magic, but I'm not used to this. She's training, learning to use her powers. It would be a bad idea to visit her while she's figuring out how to control herself."

"Uh, what she is again? I think you mentioned but I can't recall? And what are her powers?"

"She's a kitsune. Right now she's learning to contain the fox spirit. It's a little wild."

"Well, do you think she would mind if I took a look at her magic? See if I can help with that?"

"Maybe. We would have to go to Mexico."

"Is that far away?"

"Maybe not if you can fly."

"It does make distance less relevant thank walking, but I still have general needs like sleep even if I can get magic to help with that."

"I think Mexico is pretty close if you fly, won't even be a few hours from here." 

"Okay, I can make a visit if she wants spellcasting, likely not today."

"Right now you could probably meet Malia, Liam, Hayden, and the others."

"Sure. How soon can we meet?"
