"I wouldn't have expected small towns to be less transphobic than big ones. The opposite, if anything. But not a single person has called me names here."

"I'm pretty used to it, I'm about the queerest person I know. The only way I could be queerer would be if I was completely nonbinary genderfluid. Bet I could rock the enby aesthetic."

She nods. "Anyway – I should probably go check on the food and make sure nobody's, like, setting fire to anything. See you later."

"Bye, fun dancing with you."

"You too," she smiles.

And then off to sort out the food.

Theo: is chatting to Matt! And playing pinball. Apparently Evelyn has a pinball machine.

Yyyup.

Ooh, pinball, that looks fun, Sadde scoots over there.

"Hey," says Matt.

Theo smiles.

"Hiya! Am I interrupting anything?"

"Nope! Just pinball, but feel free to join in."

Is Theo looking at Sadde's lips? Perhaps.

Sadde raises an eyebrow. "You're going to have to make up your mind," he says softly instead of replying.

Theo… shrugs, then asks, "Pinball?"

Sadde shakes his head a bit but asks, "How does one even do multiplayer pinball?"

"It's mainly just taking it in turns and seeing who can get the highest score in one turn."

"Oh, cool. Sounds easy enough."

So he'll wait for Theo to lose so he can take a turn.

Theo loses in relatively short time! His score isn't too bad.

Then Sadde starts playing! This is a game he has, in fact, played before, so he's not too bad either—certainly not as crushingly inferior to Theo as he was in Mario Kart.

Well that's nice!

… Theo wanders off for a moment to grab some chips, but returns shortly with a small bowl of them, offering them to the others.

Matt takes a few!

As does Sadde as soon as he loses.

And it's Matt's go so he plays!

Is likewise not terrible. Does better than Theo.

And Sadde has an idea!

Maybe. Maybe an idea. It's Theo's turn in the machine, yes?
