A darkness lives in this one, coiling at the edges of consciousness and whispering tempting evils into the back of his mind. Life is a struggle between maintaining control of the things that go bump in the night and sliding ever downward into a spiral of darkness. He doesn't want to be evil, but the evil wants to be him.

Shadowlings are umbrakinetics with a twist: the shadows they control include demons, like the shadow people of night terror fame. All it takes is one moment of weakness, and the master of puppets becomes the one attached to strings. Their stories are often dark and twisty, following moral quandries and villain arcs with redemptive paths. Invariably, shadowlings are artists or musicians - or, in most cases, both.

Whether dark as hell or bright despite their lineage, a Tzimisce is someone with a troubled past and immense power. More often than not, they have the ability to absorb others' magic through blood consumption and alter flesh and bone through the power of Vicissitude.
