Description | An ancient dragon, over a millennium in age. He's specifically a Korean dragon: no wings, serpentine, began life as a sea serpent, has weather control powers, loves the water. His magic is seafoam in colour and he's immensely powerful. He also has a Yeouiju, the source of his ascent into dragonhood, which he wears as a ring in human form. Every lifetime he holds as a human, he reinvents his identity, and the appearance of this ring changes in ways he can't control. (In this most recent lifetime, it has metal setting which wraps around and protects it, for example.) Though his lives have been quite varied - from pirate to emperor to commoner to wanderer - in the last few he's taken to being a performer. His previous lifetime saw great success as an actor named Noe Taeyong, which means "thunder great dragon" and his current lifetime has seen equally impressive success as a kpop idol under the name Yong Jinsu, which means roughly "whom is the real dragon." Noticing a pattern? Yeah, he's very proud of being a dragon. And before his ascension, his names often translated somehow into hinting he was an imugi (proto-dragon). Though he remembers his original name, it is extremely taboo to address a dragon by their imugi name and he doesn't feel as if it represents him anymore so it has essentially been lost to the world for over a century now. He has seen many tragedies and many successes, but in order to stay sane he truly views his different lifespans in human form as separate lives. That may be complicated now that he's soulbonded with the warlock Pyŏn Kyungmin, the lover with whom he intends to spend the rest of eternity, but they'll figure it out together. |
