He occasionally bounces Cor more information about their target and he arranges for evacuation should the destruction of Melkor be bad for surrounding areas and he is very paranoid about Cor's safety and access to information.

Cor appreciates the attention to his safety and if Maitimo is very careful neither he nor Ranary (who is sticking around and dating Elon but hanging out with Cor a lot) will notice restricted information.

Maitimo is exceptionally careful.

Cor suspects nothing.

Someday there will be nothing to suspect and some day long after that when he's figured out how to sell it he can arrange for Cor to find out in a less worrying way.

In the meantime he has Cor and is very happy.

Maitimo kisses his toes and sternly instructs him not to lose them and waits for the right moment and gives him the go-ahead.

Cor doesn't lose any toes. He does faint for a few minutes.

And someone informs Thuringwethil that they've done her a favor and want one in return, and she distracts every Elf within range with gleeful giggling.

And the next day she is perched on Cor's balcony, preening.
