"Brilliant Energy is the name of the enchantment," she says, her voice sounding strange. "And it only interacts with living things--do you mind if I injure you a little to demonstrate?"

"Go right ahead."

She lays her palm against his chest. It goes harmlessly right through the fabric, and his flesh under her hand slowly starts to be burned, not even as much as the flame weapon would have done.

He smiles at her.

She takes her hand away, leaving a slightly charred handprint, and unwraps the sling. Now it is more visually relevant that she is naked, but she starts putting her clothes back on immediately. "So that's how that works."

"I like it. Your magic system may be silly but it definitely has its perks."

"It makes more sense when you've been using it for almost a thousand years."

"I'm sure it does!"

She giggles. "Anyway, there's that," she says, tossing it with the daggers. She starts rummaging again.

While she rummages, Serik will be watching her and smiling!

Aw.

She finds a few more daggers and tosses them to the side with the bow and arrows.

Yep that sure is an adoring gaze he's got going on there.

He's so cute.

She pulls out a light mace and tosses it to him.

He catches it.

"Can you feel how to turn it on?"

"Mm... I think so." He tries the thing that seems like it's what she's talking about.

The weapon breaks out in crackling lightning.

"Apparently so!"

"Oooooh."

"I'm glad you like it."

He turns it off and puts it down so he can hug her.

Hug!

Mmmmmhug.

"So what d'you think of the various enchantments?"

"I like them!" Hug. "I'm—"

He pauses, finding words. Then:

"I think I'd feel all right about kissing you, if it didn't go farther than that."

She kisses him.
