The survey maker can't keep track of all of the possible details she might want to share, and if they could,.it would result in a survey that takes way too time to read and to decide whether she wants to respond to each question!

I mean, mostly you need stuff like "did it break" or whatnot, if you're trying to avoid wasting your money? And the survey definitely isn't going to fail to include that?

Well, yes, but she might want more information about the specific conditions it fails under, how it feels to use, specific details about the functions and how to use them (since the store page doesn't always include all the details on the page).

Yes, that's information you'd look for in a written review or perhaps the manual?

The manual isn't always easily available online!

But yes, she supposed they could, instead of having a written review and five star system, have a written review and survey system with more detailed, objective, analyses. She thinks few people would bother to fill out such a review! But perhaps that's for the best.

She's always found the manual to be easily available online?

Well, perhaps it's different on Eifwen! Many manufacturers on Earth just include it with the box and also if you scour the webs you can sometimes find a pdf uploaded somewhere.

....does she want to explain what a pdf is. She doesn't want to explain what a pdf is.

What does she wanna do? They should be home soon!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

1. She wants to go set up online-contact-methods, whether that be through email, phone number, or... oh dear Eifwen is totally the type of planet where you can put your discord or other social media account on a government form as a contact method can't you. They'd contact you through NeoPets it necessary.

Whatever the standard contact methods are!

2. She wants to do research into prices and useful things to buy in Nucleus, as well as more about general Nucleus culture.

3. She wants to spend more time with Summer! There's lots of things she doesn't know about her yet.

Well, Nucleus will totally contact you through NeoPets. Some other cities don't care quite as much about whimsy.

Celene can use Summer's computer-tablet-thing again and register for stuff or do research or whatever she wants?

Sure! That'd be great. Although ideally she'd want to get her own at some point.

Are computer-tablets standard here? Presumably they also have like, large personal computers inside of a case that are not especially portable and are connected to a seperate monitor?

Well, it depends what you're using the computer for? It's pretty standard to have something that's like, fairly easily portable. But if you want to do anything that needs a lot of computing power, yeah you'd use something big and stationary.

Sure, that makes sense.

On Earth they generally have mobile phones, which are pocket sized devices for everyday use, laptops, which are larger devices with the computer under the keyboard which unfolds to reveal the thinner screen, we have tablets like yours except thinner, which... wait, how do you prevent yours from falling over for center of mass reasons?

And of course they have desktops. But she never had one.

You... hold it or prop it up?

She scans her memory. Oh right, the stand is just much larger than it is on Earth.

Anyways, sure, she'll open up her account on the tablet and start up the web client. What does Summer recommend registering for?

Well, Echo's the text messaging / chat client that's installed by default, and it's mostly what Summer uses? There should be a little icon for it.

Oh yeah! She remembers a mention of a default chat client. Sure, she'll open that up. That's something she can give the government, right?

...Why wouldn't you be able to?

Sometimes people get REALLY insistent on you having an address and a phone number specifically.

...What?

It's kind of like how cities outside of Nucleus won't contact you through Neopets, but more extreme.

Okay but then like what if you travel constantly?

She thinks some people set up like a mail forwarding service? But in general they just have to suffer with regards of not being able to easily access government infrastructure designed towards permanent residents, like healthcare programs.
