The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
"Damn right I am making demons relatable. Because then people won't think it's okay to lock them in your storeroom."
" - I'm not entirely sure what the lesson is. When I was his age I decided that I needed to learn to throw off the Imperius, and if that was scary and horrible well there were lots of scary and horrible things in the world I was unusually positioned to stop them, wasn't I. And. That was very unambiguously the right decision so I guess the moral of the story is 'yes, treat yourself like a resource before you even fully know what that means, you're not wrong about the math and you'll function just fine' -
- but, I mean, he's my little brother -"
"If 'get on camera again, film going to ask the guy what the fuck' is what he still wants to do when he's had some decompression time is there a reason it's a really bad idea -"
"...his house probably is not big enough to pull the GCP's circle spam trick, but..."
"I will point out to Minor that there's room for a few." Lean. Sigh. "The 'it' thing is astonishingly grating. I have listened to slaveowners I found less casually dehumanizing than the GCP desk bureaucrats."
"The GCP official policy, which bleeds out into other peoples habits, is that daeva are nonhuman entities and the fact that we often choose to appear in loosely human form is a coincidence and does not imply gender. I think that they let individual angels and fairies request non-it pronouns, but... with demons..."
"That would involve letting you talk!!! Can't have that!"
"Little bit. You could go Polyjuiced but you'd still be an unbound demon."
"And they're probably very diligent about checking since they missed Minor."
"What would they do about it? Have the security fairy fly you away as fast as possible?"
