He had no idea at the time, obviously. After he was asked if he knew the activists who looked like him, he had some forensic conjurations done because he was curious, and that's when he found out, and he was composing a summary of the evidence he'd discovered to send to them when they came to him about the Valar.

Ugh.

He's sure they won't repeat the mistake. They should let him know if they need anything. 

They don't seem inclined to consider him a helpful source of any anything at the moment.

That's fine. There are lots of other human polities to talk to.

The GCP is not technically a polity and they have complained about him to everybody but many people are willing to ignore them.

He is increasingly thinking that the GCP needs to be dismantled rather than reformed; they are not, narrowly construed, bad at their jobs, but the jobs are no longer necessary and they are terrible at dealing with complicated situational factors and probably a significant driver of the 'demons need to be gagged' thing.

He asks Minor if he'd have fun making a video about the prank he pulled on the GCP by visiting as a demon. 

"The idea is, like, people don't take them seriously and also watch a video in which a demon is basically a normal fifteen year old boy?"

"Well, do try for 'likable but definitely incapable of soul-stealing fifteen year old boy.' But yes, I would find that entertaining and I'm making no headway any other way."

He pulls surveillance camera footage and watches lots of extranet celebrities and consults Cam.

Cam can be extracted from his room. "Can I be dismissed and resummoned yet?"

"The GCP is doubling down on being jackasses because sending bound daeva back home is not anywhere in their procedural handbook. I think Maitimo is currently inclined to give up on getting along with them, which means he can dismiss you if he pleases, but if you have a different take we should probably share it first."

"What's the upshot for the inmates on giving up getting along with them?"

"Means not much chance of getting them transferred to a more humane arrangement but Maitimo basically doesn't think there's any chance of that anyway. They will probably continue allowing visitors, possibly with more hurdles, and the soul Elves've all agreed to keep visiting."

"Well, they can be fetched when their summoners die maybe. How are the Valar doing with the ones they were trying to catch?"

He looks at the note - "daeva seem fairly freaked out, Varda politely asked someone whether daeva wanted for crimes are disproportionately mentally ill or whether daeva are just like that...guy who blew up a space station would probably be completely fine to send home without a binding but doesn't trust her..."

"I'm sure they're disproportionately mentally ill. Being an unexpected nondaeva in the daeva realms is probably not helping, I could talk to the demons if she wants but probably can't help with angels or fairies. Maybe she should hire native messengers till word gets out?"

"Probably a good idea, you should write her with it. She stopped hanging out in the daeva realms because it was scaring people and just grabs them now, I think. Maitimo thinks one possible way to improve Revelation attitudes about demons is to go make media for consumption in Revelation in which I am a demon and also a relatable teenager. I shouldn't actually go into Revelation because people'll freak out, but making and releasing videos doesn't give them anything to ill-advisedly nuke."

"I guess that might go over."

"I wanted to show you what I've got so you could correct for cultural differences." They're all about three minutes long. Minor's brother is trying to raise a dozen genetically engineered baby dragons! one is titled. It contains Minor grousing about not being a vending machine and Minor making demonic food and heated rocks for baby dragons.

Minor is trying to come up with a present for a girl he likes!

"Miranda is going to figure it out if you publish this one. Is this supposed to coincide with an explanation about ex-summoner daeva?"

"Is there a reason that's a secret?"

"Not really but it's the sort of thing you'd want to plan."

"I will talk with Maitimo about planning it. The videos hit the right note?"

"Yeah, they're cute little vlogs. Miranda will totally figure it out."
