There appears to be nothing they want less.

Ah well. She solicits soul alt help in setting up another moat-and-portal from her planetoid to Ganymede, walks over to the arcology, knocks.

...The person at the front desk frowns at her and does some thing that is not opening the airlock.

She is not in a hurry. She waits.

Eventually a fairy exits the building, accompanied by some air. "Hello. Unaccompanied daeva..." she blinks at the possibly not a daeva person... "are, uh, not allowed in the compound... you're not a daeva but you're standing around in vacuum by yourself, so..."

I'm a minor deity from the Elf world, sorry, we were negotiating a role in prison handling with local authorities. I did not intend to cause you alarm.

"I don't think they were expecting you here."

Here is where their prison is. I can put the portal somewhere else if that's more convenient.

"The portal -? I'm the security fairy, I'm kind of out of the loop, what's going on?"

You've heard about the Elves?

"No. They don't tell me much, they just sent me out because I can go out without suiting up."

Ah. About two years ago, a demon was accidentally summoned to an alien world by an alien child. The aliens had faster than light travel, but had not heard of summoning; they had not found humanity and did not even know they should be looking. Shortly thereafter they sent emissaries to Earth. Among the many avenues of cooperation between the species which are now being pursued, the humans were hopeful that the alien gods - of which I am one - could aid them in bringing to justice daeva who commit serious violent crimes on Earth and do not answer a summons to answer for them. We can do that; we can traverse the realms safely.

"Okay... but the ones here did answer."

Yes. Having retrieved them for you, portaling here so they could interface normally with your justice system seemed more natural than portaling to Earth or somewhere. I can move the portal if they want.

"I'll go tell the boss and they might let you in but they might wanna talk to some people first."

I am not in a hurry.

The fairy goes in. The fairy talks to the boss. The boss talks to some people. Some people ask Maitimo if this is an expected behavior.

"- no, but it's not alarming? You can tell her to move or close the portal. They're gods, they're pretty autonomous, but they won't react badly to correction."

Why is there even a portal. What's going on.

"There was an inquiry about them catching criminals for you. It seems the way they saw fit to do that was to yank the criminals to a random planet somewhere and then make that planet accessible to yours. Were you expecting them to coerce them into accepting the summons? That is not really the way they operate."

But then are the yanked criminals bound at all? They can't have them running around unbound on Ganymede, Ganymede is designed to hold strictly bound prisoners.

He suspects that this is handled safely, but they would have to ask the Valar exactly how.

So the idea is that the GCP will go confirm that the criminals are caught?

"They asked to be able to confirm that, yes."

So they let Varda in and ask how the safety is being managed without bindings.
