"They don't seem to be regular swords..."

"They are not."

"They're actually highly advanced nanotech polymer constructs. That resemble swords from a distance."

"They do look much cooler than a normal sword."

"What can they do?"

"Well, for example..." She tosses her sword casually across the room. Halfway through its arc, it dissolves into shimmering particles. A second and a half later, it reforms in her hand again.

She has questions about how that works! (Including on if the technology is similar to Asgard's weapons technology.)

9S doesn't know much about Asgard weapons technology.

Fortunately Gamora does! (...A lot more than is accessible from outside Asgard; they keep that data mostly on isolated servers.)

Ooh, fascinating.

Gamora is extremely both an engineering nerd and a weapon nerd. (Mostly for swords, but she knows a lot in general.)

This should be a productive conversation, then.

At least get a good start. 

There is much yet to learn about this world.
