Shrug.

"...I'm sure it'll be fine."

"We'll have to see."

"Should I go with you when you find someone to carry the message? Where should we say to meet?"

"Don't bother," she says, "And we can name somewhere like that bridge - though she might just find you on her own."

"All right."

She'll go send the message right away, then.

And Tsubaki will... wait?

Unless she wants to get ready for school.

Oh. Right. That's a thing.

She could skip.

She'll save that for when she needs to.

Off with her, then.

To school. Hopefully Nyanko-sensei's friend doesn't swoop down in the middle of the day.

Either she hasn't found Tsubaki yet, or Nyanko is holding her back.

Good. Then she'll make best use of all her go-home club practice and skedaddle before anything excessively weird can happen around other people.

She successfully gets clear of other students and generally other humans.

Step one success. She should find Nyanko-sensei.

Nyanko finds her shortly before she reaches home, running alongside her. "My message has been sent," she says, "Though I haven't heard back yet."

"Think you will before they show up?"

She laughs. "Absolutely not."

"I see."

"Though she's pretty hard to miss, once she does approach."

As if on cue, a cry dopplers in from the distance. "Reeeeeeeeeeeeeikooooooo-chaaaaaaaaaan!"

The newcomer tackles her in a hug and starts enthusiastically rubbing her cheek on Tsubaki's face.

Ack!
