"I did used to worry a lot about Sangua - she's never... Fit in well with the Jedi, and I could tell she wasn't content. But she's grown far happier since meeting you - and that is something I'm very grateful to you for."

"She needed a space of her own, I think. A way to develop different interests than Nexuha."

"Though I doubt it's the politics she's interested in..."

"My interests are diverse."

She makes an interested, inviting noise.

"I think it was the nature vacations that grabbed her. She likes the hiking, being alone. And the art studios."

"A wealthy patron to fund her creative pursuits?"

"Something like that, perhaps."

"She's started pretty aggressively giving paintings away to her friends - our suite's walls are already full."

"And mine. I may have enabled a monster."

"A beautiful monster, though."

"I'll not disagree. Even as I am considering more properties just for the wall space."

"Somehow I doubt that's discouraging her - especially if you give her input into the architecture."

"Ah, so that's where I've been going wrong."

"In giving her input, or not unleashing her to design your dream home?"

"Not unleashing her. The distraction might give me time to catch up."

"And she'd enjoy herself, and you'd have a master-class home at the end."

"I'll be sure to invite you for a visit."

"I'd be delighted."

"I'll pencil that in to the schedule."

"I'm looking forward to it."

Elesse turns the conversation to lighter matters for the rest of the lunch, and bids Palpatine a courteous farewell at the end of it.

She does the same. 

That went... not as badly as it could. It may be they will be able to find a stable balance.

Nexuha and Sangua sure hope so.
