Then she'll be seated by the time Elesse joins her.

"Master Palpatine. So good to see you again."

"Senator Vendar." She stands to greet her. "It feels longer than it's been."

"Time plays funny tricks on us all. Please, sit." She takes a chair. "Have you ordered yet?"

"Just a drink."

Then a pot of tea for the Senator. Appetizers, entree... Best to leave dessert as only a possibility for now, she feels.

Then she will pour a cup for her dining companion. "I'm flattered you think so highly of my tastes."

"Though speaking of your tastes..."

"My padawans told me you named them."

Elesse takes a sip of her tea, hiding a tiny smile. "They asked. I could hardly refuse something like that."

She raises an eyebrow. Then: "I want to hear from you how you'd describe your relationship with them," she says, quietly. "What do you feel for them, truly?"

"I love them." This is one of the most honest things Lily has ever heard her say.

"And so you began a relationship with them."

"Mm. Did they tell you that, too, or did you infer?"

"I asked."

"Then if you needed confirmation, you may consider it received."

"They're underage," she says, quietly. 

"They made their own decision."

She raises an eyebrow.
