can you tell me more about how your powers work?

I have good telepathy, especially strong on defense though that doesn't seem likely to come up here considering, and modest telekinesis, and no pyrokinesis, those being the three classic subtle arts. With the telepathy I can read and alter an undefended mind. But I don't, because I'm not a horrible person and also not incontinent. I can be specific about things that are distinct enough to pick out, and 'the thing someone is trying to communicate to me' is flagged enough to separate so I don't read anything else, and communicating back is not a forceful enough alteration to have any side effects. I can tell where people are and tell them apart from each other and distinguish by species, and often also by other traits of the same approximate character a face or a voice would provide, though I'm not getting a gender off you. My range is better with people I know well.
