"Make way, make way! A wounded crusader! We need a healer over here!"
Two men hustle with a stretcher bearing a human girl-child wearing a blood-spattered uniform. At least, that's what it looks like to most people present.

Oh not again.
...
We have got to do something about these repeated incursions into Creation.
It's because your Creation is so bloody awful. If you brought up the living standards, the beings Outside would mostly lose interest.
I am not giving up on the Evil alignments. Does anyone have actionable advice?
We should not give in to blackmail, and we should respond in kind to hostile actors who don't even attempt to negotiate first. If those Outside try to make Creation more to their liking, we should predictably make it less to their liking in the preceding history of each universe where they interfere. If Greater Reality has a Chaotic Good bias, we should be more resolutely Lawful Evil. To do otherwise would be to surrender.
Even I don't think that causal logic works out.
And Greater Reality doesn't have a Chaotic Good bias. It just has an anti-Hell bias.
I don't mind the Outer Beings and the creatures they send me being aligned however they are. That would be silly.
I'm just tired of Fifth Mendevian Crusades. If they actually closed the Worldwound that would be one thing, but they never get around to doing that.
Shush, you, the grown-ups are talking.
I can squish you and send you to Judgement before Terendelev heals you, you know. Nothing in your character sheet says I can't.
Squishing someone who was on track to kill Deskari would look bad. People might start asking whose side you're on, here.
I object. Killing her now would send her to Hell, letting Asmodeus use her on Golarion. That would entirely subvert the point of the intervention.
I can promise not to let her be resurrected or come into contact with Golarion.
I object. We shouldn't intervene to kill someone who we'll then send to be tortured in Hell, someone who would have become Good if they lived. Pharasma wouldn't want that, either.
I can't promise to destroy her soul on arrival or keep it out of causal contact with Creation because Pharasma gets annoyed when I do that.
Unless I spend a few centuries torturing the petitioner first, and then make them part of a devil in a way that loses most of the memories. If you think about it, Pharasma's to blame here.
That would set a terrible precedent. We're trying to establish decision-theoretical deterrents, here.
Nethys, You're the domain expert here. Is there a way forward that would satisfy everyone?
If we intervene to close the Worldwound and kill Deskari ourselves, and commit to doing this whenever the Outer Beings try to start a Fifth Mendevian Crusade, they'll get bored and stop.
That's a great idea. Nobody likes the Worldwound anyway, let's just close it and go home.
