He shoves Martin's twin out of the way, and proceeds to make some machines mix some chemicals. 

All according to plan.

Maurice seems nervous. "What's going to happen, Morri?"

<You will be very sick for a while and then be a Miracle.>

"Do you know what my Miracle will be?"

<No. I cannot see that far.>

"Then how do you know it'll be okay?"

<Because I understand Evan's power.>

"Will you stay with me while I'm sick?"

<Yes.>

And Evan's done. He hands Maurice a beaker full of something pale blue.

"Drink this!"

He does so. Suddenly he's everywhere, in all senses of the word, he can do anything, know everything-and now he's just the same old Maurice again.

"That felt tingly."

<You will be cured,> she announces.

"I don't feel sick at all."

<I know.>

"Did I skip that?"

<No.>

"Oh."

"Do you guys have parents?"

<He does. Levi and I do not.>
