Since reading magic theory books and thinking about spell design are both things that can be done while cuddling, Siva's been doing less of the "divide her time between Tanaikon and the library" thing over the past few days since a certain emotionally complicated conversation. Cuddling is good. Falling asleep in her lover's arms is also good. Siva did that tonight.
It's not where she wakes up.
...he grins.
"Nentiane Alissiaverene," he says, and he picks up her soul.
Delightfulness ensues.
Seofar digs up a book from somewhere in his rooms - he is literate - and hands it to her.
It's... a book in an alphabet she's never seen before. Looks like the current translation power does not confer literacy.
He smiles.
Snuggled in bed seems like a good place to read to her!
The book is a compilation of obscure folk tales. It's kind of an interesting look at local culture. The gory bits are Seofar's favourite, naturally.
"When I first started learning Ansati I wanted verbal practice for the accent and he offered to read me poetry. I didn't understand most of the words but I could always tell where the gory bits were from his tone and your voice does the same thing."
Oh good. The stories are really interesting, and it's incredibly endearing when he finds a gory bit.
He is sort of conflictedly pleased over how endeared she is by his reaction to gory bits!
This is a good activity. Possibly the only way to make it better would be if he were to additionally pet her hair.

She's going to get bored of alternating sex and Optimized Cuddle Reading way slower than she would have just sex.
Seofar is pretty much not going to get bored of alternating sex and Optimized Cuddle Reading.
Well, Siva's not sure she would, but she's not willing to completely rule it out. Certainly it doesn't happen over the course of the next few days, at which point it is discovered that the Cuddle Reading can be further optimized by starting it in the aftermath of soul-touching. She snuggles closer with a sigh of profound contentment.
