It's a lot to take in but Emiko isn't someone given to inaction, and for the first time in a long time she has a goal. The last time she had a goal she was part of the research team that ended the plagues. It's time to wield the influence that's always felt unimportant.

Her influence isn't too significant not compared with the scope of Starlight, but in a civilization of over a trillion a percent of a percent of a percent is still more than a million people. Within days her new working group is flooded with recruits. It'll take more time to filter them down properly structure things and get official approval but Emiko's Endeavour will be a full fledged exploration group. She knows people with the right skillsets to handle the parts she doesn't have the skills for.

It's only a month before she stands in a construction yard as various platforms and infrastructure bits are built to order. A part of her is impatient but in a sense it's impatience that started this. Her other self has survived this long and even the most optimistic simulations suggest the shielding should have failed by now so her situation is probably stable. They'll be doing this right, expanding the soulnet and establishing hubs as they go, stepping between the metaphorical stones that are realms instead of swimming in the river that is the between. It'll be the work of decades but that just means she'll have lots of stories to tell when she's finally reunited.
