Nodnod. "I think that'd be a good idea. I can take this so they don't get suspicious. I uh... I mentioned Luna a couple of times? She's nearby. Uh, Luna is... Strange. I haven't gotten her collar off yet, but I'm close and she's gotten good at... Fighting through it, I guess. She wanted to help so I brought her here just in case. But ideally there won't be a fight. I have no reason to start something else, just here for you"

Daisy nods.

"Alright. I'll leave by the east gate tomorrow morning, then."

"Yeah, sounds like a plan. And head south a bit and I'll be on the lookout for you. I dunno if there's anything else to cover right now...?"

Daisy pauses to think.

"There was a fair bit of fuss after you were here last, but for what it's worth, I didn't hear anything about your name or description in connection with it."

"I definitely got shot at, but okay. See you tomorrow."

Let's see if she can sneak over the wall again... She knows the shadows are her friends here, thanks isekai power, but it doesn't do to be careless. Slow and steady, and watch the towers to make sure nobody's looking at the exact moment when she skitters up the side and drops down the other way silently.

The guards are alert, but distracted; it sounds like there's something going on outside the walls in the loose vicinity of the place where Wynn snuck in. Some of the guards are readying their crossbows to help deal with whatever it is. Perhaps a different spot would be a better choice?

Oh fuck, did Luna get spotted?

Deep breaths. Down, down, down. Calm.

Yeah, she'll look for another spot, cross over there, and then try to see what they were looking at.

After hopping the wall, Wynn circles around to get a better angle on the commotion... and finds the usual patrol, fighting something horse-sized, purple, rubbery, toothy, and tentacled; one of their guards is down.

Oh geez. It's another tentacle-thing. A big one too, and... It feels dangerous. Not especially strong or fast, but tricky, somehow.

Let 'em deal with it? .....Can she really just stand by? Slavery or not...

Hmph. Fine.

She doesn't have, like, illusion magic, but she can help from range where they wouldn't be able to tell too much about her.

Except... She didn't bring her 'cheat item' to just go and blast it apart from safety. Since she was going to be sneaking around. It's in her bag back with Luna. Hm.

She circles closer to the thing and focuses, watching it. Tricky somehow... A big AoE would hurt a bunch of guards too... Hmm... Well, she can chant out the basic holy magic combo and spit a projectile of healjuice at the downed guard while trying to figure it out, at least.

The downed guard is healed! The guards are startled by this, but clearly take it as a good sign. The purple thing, for its part, seems pretty alarmed at a magical projectile going into the fight (even if it wasn't offensive or aimed at it) and it starts to back away from the guards. It looks like it ought to have been shot and stabbed a few times as it disengages, but attacks seem to pass right through it? Its escape route is taking in Wynn's vague direction, but it's not going directly towards her; instead, it seems to want to get past her to a nearby farmhouse... the place with the enslaved cowgirls, if Wynn remembers correctly.

Some kind of illusion? Well, are the guards going after it? If not, AoE time!

The guards are in pursuit, but it's clearly faster than they are, so there's a bit of distance between it and anything else; now would be a good time to use more dramatic magics.

Well, she also has to run to keep up with it, this thing is fast!

She sends lances of water - not directly at the figure she can see, but all around the general area, pretty randomly. Whatever it's doing must be like Double Team or shadow clones or something, but a huge AoE would wreck someone's field and also kind of tire her out...

This proves an effective, if somewhat expensive strategy; at least one of Wynn's randomly-offset attacks seems to hit, and the beast takes up a more circuitous and evasive route as it gives her plenty of room. But this isn't exactly a huge area, and it's pretty near the farmhouse it seems to have been going for... and it looks like the barn door is starting to fall off for no visible reason?

Does it have telekinesis or something? She's still not about to engage this thing in close combat, it's kind of sexy gross. Gross in a vaguely sexy way, slick and muscular and with that big dick she can catch glimpses of, fucking hell! Why is she so horny lately it's distracting! And making her way more perverted than usual for an internet-age teen. She stops fairly far away and takes a deep breath. Focus, focus. At least it's going after animals, not people.

It seems just as interested in staying away from Wynn, especially now that she's demonstrated her magic!

Now that Wynn has a chance to slow down and take a look at it, she can see that the visible body appears to be quickly attacking thin air with claw swipes and prying tentacles as it ducks and dodges erratically... while simultaneously, the barn door is being torn off its hinges. This quick motion doesn't quite seem organically possible; it flicks and zips around quite a bit, but doesn't actually seem to be moving its limbs quite enough to be that mobile?

So it's... An illusion, or a flickering short-range teleporter that's constantly moving from place to place. Probably the first thing. Illusion of itself dodging and weaving, but why not something more complicated? It's not like she knows how this works though.

Well, she can catch her breath and be on watch for if it goes after people again.

The door is torn down in short order. The beast flickers inside, and shortly thereafter emerges with a horned, busty, and collared beastwoman ensnared in its tentacles. She moos frantically and kicks at the beast with her hooves, but is pretty solidly restrained. The beast isn't wasting any time in fleeing, either! The guards are just starting to catch up with Wynn, and there's some shouting as they see its prize... but it doesn't look like there's much hope in them being able to actually catch the beast.

"Oh SHIT!" She yells out.

Fuckdammit! She forgot that hey they use slavery here and never thought actual people would be in the barn! And now it's too late to launch big AoEs. All she can do is run after it and launch streaks of fire or water ahead of where it seems to be running, to try and get it to drop its victim.

The beast doesn't seem to have any intention in dropping its prey, and though it's probably not as fast as it looks, it's still quite fast! It's also pretty clever about how it uses its image, sending it juking in one direction as it passes an obstacle, only for the image to snap back wildly in another direction a few seconds later. Trying to guess exactly where the thing is moment-by-moment is pretty hard... and would be harder still, except for the sounds of increasingly-aroused mooing, as the beast is already starting to molest its victim. 

Wrapped up in those tentacles like that... Gah! Godammit being this horny is fucking distracting and inconvenient. No, she's not going to fantasize about being tentacle-fucked! No matter how good it'd feel! She has someone to rescue! And every time she feels a surge of sympathetic arousal, she's distracted for a moment and falls a bit further behind.

Ultimately, she chases it for a few minutes, but does not, actually, think she can hurt this thing without also hurting its victim. And she's getting tired way too fast. It's only after she loses sight of it when she has to slow down and catch her breath that she remembers the link to that little marble she gave Luna - she could have called for backup!

Well. Too late now. "Fuck! Godammit!"

She flops to the dirt where she lost the thing. Are those guards still coming? Can she do her 'please let me go officer' fantasy? NO NO NO NO. She has to stand up and go back to Luna to tell her what happened. And then... Sneak off somewhere, later.

It sounds like the guards are still coming? But Wynn ran off ahead of them in the latest chase, so they don't have eyes on her right now.

They've lost the thing at this point. 

She sneaks sideways out of the path and back south again. Towards Luna.

Yeah, the guards probably wouldn't have been able to catch the beast, but they might've had a chat with the strange mage who came out of nowhere to help, especially if she'd managed to stop it herself. But she left, so they'll remain confused.
