"The non-Special ones are all pretty much the same," he nods.

One of the people who comes in after them cuts in line to be next to them.

"Oh, hi, Vira-la; this is Kyeo; Kyeo, Vira-la.  It's not polite to cut in line; do you want to move to the back?"

"I don’t mind going to the back of the queue."

Zane moves them back.  "So, what are you getting today?"

"I need more pillows."

"What do you do with more than one pillow?"

"Have a nest."

"Like a bird?"

...okay. "Can you pronounce your name for me so I can see if I can say it properly?"

"Viralael."

"Viralael," he repeats carefully.

"No, Viralael.  Llllllaellll."

"Viralael?"

"No."

"...it seems like it might be very inconvenient to have an unpronounceable name."

"Yes."  She sounds sad about it.

...okay, well, he can probably just avoid referring to her by name if she won't be courteous enough to tolerate the pronunciation or a shortening or a nickname but it's pretty inconsiderate.

"We're here to get Kyeo a hoverboard."

"I don't want one."
