"Oh it's gorgeous," Sable coos. "Hello, you proud, lovely, fearsome creature. You're gonna help my friend kick so much ass, aren't you?"

The griffon nods slowly, giving her a proud look.

"He says - I have good claws and horns, and courage, so any enemy of mine is an enemy of his." Grin. "I have a feeling I'm going to need the help."

"That really is so cool."

"Such a good, fierce, beautiful boy you are. You're going to do an excellent job fighting alongside Abyssia, I can already tell. I'll make enchantments for you both, and y'all will go wreck anyone who dares to hurt y'all or the people y'all care about."

She wags delightedly, then looks back up at Abyssia.

"Bys, hon, you have such an awesome familiar. D'you know what you're gonna call him? Mine... I think I'm gonna call her Morrigan, or Mori for short."

She looks up at the crow still perched on her head. "Y'like that?"

She gets a happy caw in response.

"I can't think of a good name on the spot like this! You don't mind waiting?"

Her familiar makes an almost laughing sort of noise. "Hek-hek-hek."

"Great. I'll get you some - I don't know what crows like, I'll let you try some of whatever I eat for a while."

"Do you need to eat?" She asks her familiar. "...Not necessarily, but you'd certainly like to. Understandable. It looks like, from what I've seen, large familiars aren't usually, um, out all of the time- Oh, yes. Of course, when I have need of you, but I don't want to just... Have I made you, or were you already waiting out there somewhere... Don't know that one, huh..."

"Okay, this has been awesome, but now it's divide and conquer time. We each have clubs or jobs to look into, Bys and I have a research project, Lenora's got practice she wants to do, I want to get some studying in..."

"Yeah. Time to split up. I do want to go out to eat together sometime if... We are going to be friends. But that doesn't have to be today. Okay, time to go away for now," she says petting her familiar on the head. "We can get to know each other later." And she concentrates and dismisses her familiar. "So cool. Magic. Library?" She nods towards Sable.

"Have fun! I'm going to go see about that earthworks job."

"Sounds great. Toss us a sending when you feel like lunch and maybe we can still try to check out a restaurant."

She pulls out her phone and looks up where the library is.

Which library? There are several. Arcadia Central Library? The Academia Library? The John M. Browning Memorial Library? The Holy Library of St. Joseph? The Historical Archive at Arcadia? The Lunabella Branch Library?

Well this is great! "So. Many. Libraries!"

She saves all of them, then calls up directions to Arcadia Central Library.

"Okay then!"

She tosses a quick Sending to Lenora, and shows the route to Bys.

I wanna give you a kiss goodbye, but we haven't talked about whatever inspired complicated feelings about telling Bys yet, so probably save it for after?

...In answer to that, Lenora kisses Sable on the lips before running off, her familiar "hek-hek-hek"ing on top of her head. "See you later byeeee!"

"Oh. Huh." Bys looks thoughtfully between them. "Well, ain't my place to stop you."

Eeeeeee kiss!

Sable tips back onto the grass and grins there for a moment, before Mori nips at her eartip.

"Eep! Okay, thank you Mori."

She looks up at Bys. "Yeah, that happened. Anyway, library!"

She bounces back to her feet.

"Library indeed."

She follows behind Sable, watching the people and buildings around them as they go. Still not watching anyone in swimsuits too closely. The library surely won't be too far, what with all the interconnected portals everywhere.

It's not too far, but the route seems to go past perhaps an unnecessary number of hot springs. Whether this is for Sable's enjoyment or because she's noticed Bys trying to avoid enjoying the view remains unexplained, however.

She's just going to have to get used to it. It's not like she's totally blind to the eyes on her, either. Some are wary and some are a bit appreciative. What, is over half of witchdom gay? Convenient, if so, but... Mrrrgh.

Actually, she doesn't think Sable will take it badly. "Is over half of witchdom gay or something?"

"Gay and bi, yep! Looked it up right after I awakened. A lot of bloodlines would die out if they had to sneak around the mortal world to get romance, or reproduction would be such a pain." She shakes her head at the thought.

"Also? World hard and cold, titty soft and warm," she says with a solemn nod.

Bluuuush.

"Hm. Gynephilia got selected for thanks to the Veil, then? Probably nobody actually knows for sure but that's one of the theories, I guess."

Sable bounces along and nods. "Yep! There are some people who wonder if some straight girls are getting whammied bi by the Awakening process, but selection effects are the leading theory."

"Evolution's made crazy horny bitchy jealous messes of us all anyways. What's one more twist. -I'm gay, not bi. The girl I sparred with was hot." She says this last part in a rush and blushes once it's out.

"Goddesses yes, she was. If I hadn't already been extremely gay, that girl probably would've been my Gay Awakening." She bites her lip and shakes her head, blushing a bit herself.

"And jealousy's weird. I never really understood it, even before I Awakened. Like... do people really think that everyone is just supposed to love one person at a time and get possessive and angry about any deviation from that?"
