As you should considering how badly you've fucked things up before and how badly you will definitely fuck things up in the future.

"It's okay. I... um..." She hesitates for a moment.

The words are hesitant, and come out as a question, but Eva's eyes are shining with hope.

"I love you too?"

"I'msorry I really shouldn't have said that I really like you and you're cool but I wouldn't wanna trick you I'm really not actually the kind of thing that's capable of l-love and I wouldn't want you getting too attached to something that can't reciprocate..."

Fuck why are there tears in her eyes, those things shouldn't be there...

"Yeah, I, um, I don't know, either, if that's something we should really be saying now or not, especially with how scared you seem of it..." 

"We don't have to say it, I don't mean to push, I just - you were the one who said it first, so I thought it was safe..." 

Okay she had better just shut up and hug the phee. This would be better for both of them probably.

Needy incoherent hugs.

"It's not unsafe, you should feel free to say whatever you want to me, I'm not scared of it, a-and I'm sorry for saying it it just felt right and nice in the moment, it's just also..."

More incoherent needy noises that doesn't know how to speak.

This is the face of someone who is determined to snuggle a phee until the phee stops needing snuggles. 

That's going to be quite a while of snuggling then.

"You're very good and nice and lo-wonderful and way too sweet to me..."

"And w-we should maybe move this to the bed..."

"Okay." 

She will get up and offer Phee her hand.

She weakly gets up and accepts the hand.

Over to the bed. Flop. Offer snuggle?

Gentle flop beside the Eva and needy snuggle.

"You're really really nice..."

"Um, thank you?" Eva's embarrassed but she's sticking through it for the sake of helping Phee calm down. 

Phee's still too much of a mess to comment on the cuteness of that, but she does eventually calm down a bit (for a certain definition of 'calm'.)

She wipes away her tears the gunk in her eyes, and hugs Eva a bit more gently.

"Sorry about that, I'm kind of a mess..."

"It's okay. You're good. We can take things slowly. Sorry for scaring you."
