She clicks her tongue - and he canters over to her, where she starts thoroughly checking him for injury or wasting. 

"Where did you acquire him?" she asks, tone deceptively mild. 

"West Ravka. A nobleman's stable in Os Kervo."

"What is his name?"

"What's your interest in knowing?"

"I'd like to make an example out of him."

"As I'll make an example out of anyone threatening my Sun Summoner."

"How much is your example worth to you?"

"That depends on how much information you have - including which bounty you are here to tell me of, and how much you can tell me of it."

"Your Sun Summoner's worth a million kruge in Ketterdam, and we're not the only crew that heard about the job, just the first to get here."

"For information leading to those who stole from me - three hundred thousand kruge."

"For information leading to those who would steal from me - one million and two hundred thousand kruge."

"Assuming, of course, that your information is actionable."

"And what about information leading to holes in your current security?"

"The standard bounty I offer for those is the equivalent of fifty thousand kruge per each previously unidentified flaw."

"And for major flaws?"

"A fatal opening never consists of just one mistake."

Grin.

"That sounds like a reasonable set of terms."

"Those who cooperate with me profit."

"The man's name was Zlatan."

"I see."

"He didn't commission the theft, if that's worth anything to you. The thief was freelance, and scared out of her mind after crossing the Fold."

"He knew the treachery he was participating in all the same."

She asks for more details, then - partially sounding like she's confirming something, partially like she's planning an offensive.

Details Kaz can provide. Not like she cares what happens to that West Ravkan general.
