Kaz snorts. "If I'd known it was going to be that easy..."

"She spotted me, and she was being followed by Etherealki - a suicide mission assassination might have been doable, but a kidnapping would take a lot more effort."

Kaz nods.

"How'd you get away?"

"By being my charming self. I scheduled an appointment with her, and then she gave me a five minute head start before she alerted the guards."

"Oh, well done, Inej."

Grin!

"How much have you two gotten?"

"Seems like we've beaten Rollins' crew here, at least. Word is there's been a couple attempts on the Sun Summoner already by others but- amateurs. None've gotten past the gates or really started at all."

"Do we know who's in Rollin's crew?"

"Not specifically."

"She wanted us to be at the gates morning tomorrow..."

"I want to try to get more information to take into that meeting."

"Mm. We need leverage."

"Something directly actionable."

"I've identified some of the surface flaws in their security - we can look for more, too."

She nods. "That's good."

Smile. "A description of how we'd do the kidnapping ourselves would be good too, I bet."

"I'll need details on what you saw."

She gives those - alongside details on her conversation with the Sun Summoner.

That helps.

They should get back to work then, make the best use of the time they have left.

She'll work quickly. 

Kaz is counting on it.

"And what'll you two be up to?"

"Still going after the underworld elements. See if we can't track down the Ketterdam connections better."

"Need to catch up to your contributions here, after all."

"I've always set a high bar for excellence."

"I plan to. You'll just have to keep up with me."
