"Yeah, you get people all but bragging about how addicted to coffee they are and -" Traceless's phone buzzes. He pulls it out. He has been sent a single emoji in a group chat titled "SILO". "Ah, that's my notification that my partner's ready."

"Oh, good!  It was really cool meeting you.  - tell Cricket I'm glad he gets to be a person.  Unless that's an insane thing to say in which case just tell him he's cute and fluffy."

"I don't think that's insane at all -" He has Frequently Used Emoji available and sends a shoe. "Do go ahead and let my agent know that we can double up on stealth missions. I'm gonna call Tess -"

"Will do."

He murmurs in Kimberly's ear, "I'm gonna turn it off now," and then it abruptly becomes apparent to her that she has spent the whole conversation snuggled up to Bryce with his arm around her and his fingers tapping out Morse code affections on her shoulder.  (HELLO KIMBERLY YOU ARE CUTE WHEN YOU BLUSH AND I LOVE YOU)

She gives him a squeeze and lets go. "Sayin' sweet things to me in Morse code again," she accuses.

He lets go as well.  "My power works harder the more distracting you'd find me," he says innocently.

"Hey Tess, June's ready, can you order me a car from here to the Ablinger spot? Also Paula should have a heads up that of all places I have randomly met a Toronto guy in Chicago, Shadowcat, weak compat in spite of the matchy powers. Mm-hm," Traceless is saying into the phone.

"Bye Traceless, it was nice meeting you!" Wait, should she not distract him while he's on the phone? Unclear.

He doesn't seem to object!

Bryce gives him a salute as he's departing.

Once the car has arrived Traceless reluctantly unpeels his arm from Bryce's and heads out to meet it. "Lovely meeting you both!"

"Mhm!" She waves.

Oh he feels so bad for the guy whenever he sees that face.  "You too."

As Traceless heads out, she turns back to Bryce. "Are you still a little up, should we go find Toby?" She reflects on where they last saw Toby headed. "...should we give Toby a while before we go find him, and see about meeting some other people in the meantime?"

"I've had worse times at a party than this with no backlash at all," he says, though there's a bit less pep in his voice than when they arrived.  "I can wait a few minutes."

"Well," she says, logically, "let's see if there's anybody around to meet. I heard something about another stealth esper who might click with you?"

"Kuroko!" he says.  "I've heard of her.  Let's see if she's around."

She's around. Currently nomming some of the fancy meats.

It does occur to Kimberly after a minute to look her up on her phone. "Oh hey."

"Hey," Bryce says also and waves.  "Are you Kuroko?  I'm Shadowcat, this is my girlfriend Kimberly."

"That's me. Nice to meet you both."

"We hear you and him might make good stealth buddies!"

"Oh? Has somebody been telling tales about me?"
