She has a couple clarifying questions, too, about things like the check in and rough draft schedules for the final paper, and topic selection for that... 

Not as many questions as she'd like to have, though she enjoys hearing Ellie answer them. 

And then - "Do you usually get lots of students stopping by this early in the semester?"

"Typically not until the first reading quiz. You are an outlier."

"I quite like to stand out."

(It's very easy to notice about her, even just at a glance. The gems studding her ears are blue today, some of them replaced by small golden hoops. She doesn't tuck her tail away under skirts like a lot of mage subs do, her black and auburn marbled tail instead emerging from a suggestive gap between a short yellow dress and the thigh high socks she wears under. She's wearing a top she almost certainly got out of a lingerie section of a store - a loose, silky deep blue blouse with long sleeves and a plunging neckline, and a skull pattern that's only visible because the skulls aren't as shiny as the rest of the fabric, rendered decent only by the top of her sundress under it. She's sending as many mixed signals as she can - the sundress is pretty subby in a flirty teasing way, and the top would be subby if it wasn't for the skulls and also being somewhat challengingly sexual for the context, but her neck is bare of even a choker, her wildcat tail clearly visible, and she has on pretty chunky black boots that sure look steel toed, and the basic square studs for earrings and high socks and short skirt are pretty dom-ish... But, also, she is currently very aggressively radiating 'sub who only maybe bites' through her body language in Ellie's direction.)

Ellie leans forward, placing her elbows on the desk and steepling her fingers. "Well, Miss Kelsang. Continue as you have begun and you will not lack for attention."

"I'm very successful at all my endeavors, it's true." Her tail curls around her legs. 

"We'll see about that."

"How so?"

"I don't give passing grades for being engaged in class and smiling prettily."

"Oh, good. I'd hate to think I've just coasted on my lovely face all this time."

"That's up to you to demonstrate."

"I'll do my best."

"I am expecting great things, Miss Kelsang. Don't disappoint me."

She tilts her chin down, looking up at Ellie through half-lidded eyes. "Oh I won't, Miss Davis."

Brat.

"Did you have other questions?"

Hum.

"Are you free this afternoon?"

"My office hours end at two."

"Nothing after that?"

"As far as you know."

"I'll keep my eyes open, then. Just in case I see you around."

"Perhaps you will. Perhaps not."

"We'll see about that." Smirk.

"You should return to your studies, Miss Kelsang."

"Yes'm," she teases. "I'll see you in class."
