treat my body like a canvas

It's the first week of the fall semester, and, well.

Ji's been kind of busy. It helps her mood that she got her sister out from their shitty family's immediate control - and while technically her sister has to pay to live in the first year dorms, no one seems to be really stopping them from just sharing Ji's apartment and leaving the dorm room empty. (That's contributing to the business a lot. She's never had her own apartment before.)

She's stayed on top of pre-class readings, though, totally unlike her first year. It helps that she knows more of what she likes, that these are exciting classes. (Like this one, an economic history of the Middle East.)

Ji gets to class early, a bit on accident - the cafe she'd been planning to get lunch from was way too crowded so she skipped it, and she'd left a bit early because she's not very confident yet in timing her walk from her apartment to grounds - and getting lost didn't successfully eat up all the extra time.

She is, however, pretty hungry as she sits down in the front row and digs out her notebook (she found some plain canvas covered notebooks last year and splurged on more than enough for her entire university stint - this one she's covered in sketches of the Hirshhorn Museum), and a proper selection of colorful gel pens and also the syllabus.

(Technically, the door had been locked, like they usually are when the teacher isn't there yet. Ji hates loitering in the hallway though, and was pretty good at picking the cheap locks on school doors even before she eclipsed.)

She's the first one there but not by a lot, and more students trickle in as it gets closer to class start time.

About five minutes before class starts, a young woman enters and heads for the teacher's desk. She's dressed sharply but without much color, favoring crisp black and white. A pair of cat ears, the same rich, sleek brown as her hair, twitch slightly at the students' quiet chatter. She sets her bag down and withdraws her laptop, getting it hooked up to the room's projection equipment.

At precisely the time scheduled, she claps her hands, cutting through the buzz. "Your attention. My name is Ellie Davis and I will be the proctor for this section of Ancient History of the Middle East. The focus will be economic history, from the founding of Uruk to the conquests of Alexander of Macedon. This gives us more than three and a half thousand years to cover in slightly under three months. As such, we will be moving quickly. If you do not intend to focus on my lessons, kindly remove yourself to the back of the room or vacate it entirely at this point." She pauses briefly.

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh, she's going to be focusing alright. Her own ears prick forward with interest (they shade to a lighter auburn than her hair at their tips, and she has several rhinestone piercings in each, set asymmetrically).

She might be focusing on something other than the lecture, though, like those pretty lips.

"Any use of magery or psionics by a student during class time will be grounds for prosecution under the student code of conduct. My office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays eleven to two and Fridays three to six. You should have received an electronic copy of the syllabus on your university email. I am required by policy to review it in class with you," she flicks the projector screen on and displays each page of the syllabus, lingering on each for three seconds. "As you can see, it explains the grading policy and gives a week-by-week schedule. If you have further questions, see me outside of class."

With the formalities out of the way, she jumps straight into the first lecture.

Permalink Mark Unread

She actually wants to learn this, and the proctor's voice is very lovely, so she tries very hard to pay attention to the material too. So she can remember things the cute girl said to use later.

She's definitely going to have syllabus questions, of course.

She also puts her hand up at every single pause for questions (and a few pauses that probably were not meant for questions but are long enough to get her hand up). Her questions do at least reveal she did the readings and also some supplemental info dives, and she mostly tries to prod for more details. Also more talking. Cute girl should definitely be talking to her.

Permalink Mark Unread

Her questions are all answered thoroughly- and begin to prompt a quirk of the lips as Ellie sees that they are all consistently thoughtful and insightful.

Permalink Mark Unread

That definitely is how you encourage someone like Ji to do even more reading after class. And also to not ask silly joke questions.

Office hours aren't until tomorrow, tragically, but if she lingers on packing up her bag maybe she can catch the proctor on her way out...

Permalink Mark Unread

The proctor is very efficient and businesslike about packing up her own bag. Almost as much so as the quicker students.

Permalink Mark Unread

Means she fails to catch her. Dang. (She's not quite that fast even when trying to book it, especially since Ji doesn't pack her bag preemptively.)

She goes home to flop dramatically about having missed talking to the pretty girl about stuff that isn't the subject matter. (She should eat, but, first, being dramatic.)

Permalink Mark Unread

"Rough first day?" her sister asks.

Permalink Mark Unread

Pout.

"The proctor for my section is unfairly hot."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh," she says dryly. "How terrible."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's absolutely horrible."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Mhm."

"So, dom or sub?"

Permalink Mark Unread

She perks up. "Total dom energy, though she's not, like, presenting super blatantly."

Permalink Mark Unread

Sage nod.

"Classic hot for teacher."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You're a jerk."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle.

"Dinner's ready, by the way. If you didn't fill up on whine."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Absolutely not - I'm starving, I skipped lunch..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Ji!" her sister scolds. "At least let me pack you something in the morning if you're not going to get anything yourself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I was gonna get something but the cafe was crowded..." Pout. "You can pack stuff for me, though, if you want."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Seems like I'll have to. You'll need all your strength if you're going after one of your teachers."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thanks for taking such good care of me, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Someone has to."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'm gonna have trouble finding a dom who's as good as you at it, you know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe you can work out a timeshare agreement."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Or ask you to do some tutoring."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Also a possibility. But come on." Poke. "Let's eat."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes'm," she says, giggling.

And, to eat! Hopefully Sara made a lot.

Permalink Mark Unread

Enough to get her to the ice cream for dessert, at least.

Permalink Mark Unread

Wonderful.

"Y'know," she says after her first bite of ice cream, "There's a farmers market near here on the weekends. Bet that guy who was selling the weird ice creams is back."

Permalink Mark Unread

"More ghost pepper ice cream is coming out of the entertainment budget, not the food."

Permalink Mark Unread

She giggles wildly. "I was more thinking lavender goat's milk... Bet I can convince him to sell spicy ice cream, though."

Permalink Mark Unread

"He seemed like he liked you. Glad to meet someone who appreciated the artistry of his craft."

Permalink Mark Unread

"As one artist to another."

Permalink Mark Unread

Hee.

Permalink Mark Unread

"How's your first day been?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not as dramatic as yours, I think." But she's happy to ramble about her first class and the lineup of clubs she saw at the student center.

Permalink Mark Unread

"There's usually a club day the second weekend of September, I think," she says. "Think it's a better way to get the vibe - I joined one of the martial arts clubs and astronomy last year after talking to them... I'm thinking of looking at like a fraternity this year too, maybe poke my head into one of the architecture clubs."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll have to look into it. Not sure which ones I want to join."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe you'll meet some pretty person and follow them."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Anything's possible."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Now you're just tempting me to set you up with someone, you know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"If you can ever see a nice dom without wanting them for yourself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe! Though, you don't want a sub?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Hum. "Not for a long-term thing. Maybe as a fling."

Permalink Mark Unread

"So you want someone you can take care of but who doesn't need to be bossed around like me?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"That would be ideal."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "I'll see what I can do."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smile. "Thanks, sis."

"But if you're done eating, we should do our meditations."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah, am."

She does, actually, really enjoy meditating. It's nice, even without magic.

Permalink Mark Unread

Yeah, soothing. A nice way to end the day.

Permalink Mark Unread

Definitely.

She has more classes the next day, of course... One at eight in the morning, then food so her sister won't nag her too much, then she heads over to Ellie's office early enough she can get there right around eleven.

Permalink Mark Unread

The door is locked (much more securely than the classroom door) until it is actually eleven, at which point it unlocks from inside.

Permalink Mark Unread

She doesn't try to pick it. Seems rude.

She heads in once she hears the lock click.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie looks up.

"Ah, Miss Ryder."

Permalink Mark Unread

Sudden scowl.

Ugh, that name isn't a good way to start this off.

She - doesn't want to snap at the pretty girl though, even though this is the fourth time this week...

So, she tries to keep her tone even and her expression not quite as annoyed. She mostly kinda succeeds. Ish.

"I don't go by that," she says, tightly. "Just - Miss Kelsang, if you want to be formal."

'Kelsang' is nowhere on her paperwork.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Noted. Miss Kelsang, then. What brings you here so promptly?"

Permalink Mark Unread

She dials her mood back to neutral. A bit hard with the awkward start, but she likes that the girl used her preferred name instead of arguing or jumping to another thing on her paperwork, which helps...

"I had some syllabus questions."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh?"

Permalink Mark Unread

And a bit awkwardly: "...Also the university has no non-awkward way to list a preferred name, so, wanted to let you know about the name thing and that my assignments won't be signed as the name on my paperwork."

Permalink Mark Unread

"If your date of birth is correct, then you can request to change your name."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I don't have any legal paperwork for it yet, which is what the admin lady last year said she thinks I'll need. And I don't want it showing up on like tuition payment statements yet."

Permalink Mark Unread

She raises a brow.

"I see."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ugh ugh ugh, this is so awkward.

"It's Dorji Kelsang. That I'm going as."

"I might also add a last name if I ever pick one, but. Might not."

Permalink Mark Unread

Hum.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Permalink Mark Unread

Small smile.

"The pleasure's mine."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'm sure it is."

Permalink Mark Unread

Small giggle. "You are a very interesting lecturer."

Permalink Mark Unread

She flicks an ear.

"Perfect memory means I spend my time on packaging the material for you, rather than learning it myself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Much better than our full professors are managing."

Permalink Mark Unread

"They have tenure, I don't."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I think it might be more than just that. You think about things really interestingly."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Is this leading to a question about the syllabus, or are you just here to flatter me, Miss Kelsang?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I can flatter you and have syllabus questions, you know." In fact, here's one, about the tests - it sounds like they might be take home, but she wasn't sure...

Permalink Mark Unread

Students will have the option of taking the tests in the assigned period, or picking up the test the week before to work on at home and turning it in when the others are taking it. The latter option will be graded more strictly, as noted.

Permalink Mark Unread

That explains it, yeah.

She has a couple clarifying questions, too, about things like the check in and rough draft schedules for the final paper, and topic selection for that...

Not as many questions as she'd like to have, though she enjoys hearing Ellie answer them.

And then - "Do you usually get lots of students stopping by this early in the semester?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Typically not until the first reading quiz. You are an outlier."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I quite like to stand out."

Permalink Mark Unread

"So I see."

Permalink Mark Unread

Preen!

(It's very easy to notice about her, even just at a glance. The gems studding her ears are blue today, some of them replaced by small golden hoops. She doesn't tuck her tail away under skirts like a lot of mage subs do, her black and auburn marbled tail instead emerging from a suggestive gap between a short yellow dress and the thigh high socks she wears under. She's wearing a top she almost certainly got out of a lingerie section of a store - a loose, silky deep blue blouse with long sleeves and a plunging neckline, and a skull pattern that's only visible because the skulls aren't as shiny as the rest of the fabric, rendered decent only by the top of her sundress under it. She's sending as many mixed signals as she can - the sundress is pretty subby in a flirty teasing way, and the top would be subby if it wasn't for the skulls and also being somewhat challengingly sexual for the context, but her neck is bare of even a choker, her wildcat tail clearly visible, and she has on pretty chunky black boots that sure look steel toed, and the basic square studs for earrings and high socks and short skirt are pretty dom-ish... But, also, she is currently very aggressively radiating 'sub who only maybe bites' through her body language in Ellie's direction.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie leans forward, placing her elbows on the desk and steepling her fingers. "Well, Miss Kelsang. Continue as you have begun and you will not lack for attention."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'm very successful at all my endeavors, it's true." Her tail curls around her legs.

Permalink Mark Unread

"We'll see about that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"How so?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I don't give passing grades for being engaged in class and smiling prettily."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, good. I'd hate to think I've just coasted on my lovely face all this time."

Permalink Mark Unread

"That's up to you to demonstrate."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll do my best."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I am expecting great things, Miss Kelsang. Don't disappoint me."

Permalink Mark Unread

She tilts her chin down, looking up at Ellie through half-lidded eyes. "Oh I won't, Miss Davis."

Permalink Mark Unread

Brat.

"Did you have other questions?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Hum.

"Are you free this afternoon?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"My office hours end at two."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Nothing after that?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"As far as you know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll keep my eyes open, then. Just in case I see you around."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Perhaps you will. Perhaps not."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We'll see about that." Smirk.

Permalink Mark Unread

"You should return to your studies, Miss Kelsang."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes'm," she teases. "I'll see you in class."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie gives her a negligent wave as dismissal.

(Interesting girl. Ellie might actually seek her out at some point. Dragging respect out of her would be... enjoyable, she thinks.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Ji tragically isn't a mind reader, sadly, and so doesn't know she's thinking that.

She doesn't try to stalk Ellie that afternoon, though, even if she does make sure she's hanging out in the general vicinity of the building while she reads.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie leaves around five, out the main doors.

Permalink Mark Unread

She's gotten through her studying and then recently deep into a paperback. She glances up at the sound of the door - she isn't right on the main doors, but curled up on a very cozy bench a bit off the path near some flowers she likes - and brightens when she sees who it is, before sliding her bookmark in place and putting her book down.

She waves to Ellie, then, friendly.

Permalink Mark Unread

She nods back, but doesn't slow.

Permalink Mark Unread

Hm, she doesn't want to be desperate... Well. More desperate than waiting here has already made her look.

She thinks she'll let Ellie make the next move, actually, or at least - she's not going to go chasing after her.

Ji settles back with her book.

Permalink Mark Unread

Then Ellie continues leaving.

She doesn't treat Dorji any differently, next time she has class with her.

Permalink Mark Unread

She wasn't expecting it.

She's as attentive and curious a student as last time. Doesn't show up to every single office hours block to flirt, either.

She does however make a point of spending time with her sister. Like going to the farmers market!

Permalink Mark Unread

She might notice a familiar pair of ears peeking up through the crowd. It doesn't appear Ellie's noticed her yet.

Permalink Mark Unread

She elbows her sister. Subtly.

Permalink Mark Unread

"What?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Pretty dom alert!" she murmurs. "I've called her."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Where? With the ears?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yup. Miss Ellie Davis."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She's taller than I thought she'd be."

"Gonna go say hi?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah, if you don't mind me abandoning you."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Still too soon to introduce her to the family?" she teases.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well, if you wanna be my wingman... Maybe give me some glowing reviews..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Make sure she's aware of the full palette of options available to her..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"That'd be excellent."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Introduce us, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes, ma'am." Giggle.

And off, to weave through the crowd over to where she can get Ellie's attention with a, "Miss Davis!"

Permalink Mark Unread

She turns.

"Ah, Miss Kelsang. Hello. And who is your friend?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"This's my sister, Sara."

Permalink Mark Unread

Gosh, she is pretty. Her fluffy tail wags nervously.

"Hi."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smirk. (This one is much more obviously subby than her sister.)

Permalink Mark Unread

She very, very discreetly steps on her sister's foot.

"Enjoying the market?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I am, yes. There's always a delightful variety to browse."

Permalink Mark Unread

"New flavors every week."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Indeed. The two of you live in the area, then?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"My apartment's an easy walk from here."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well, isn't that convenient."

Permalink Mark Unread

"There's an entire street of apartments that're mostly upper years," she says, cheerfully. "I guess 'cause they're right near grounds."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Technically I have to live in the dorms, because I'm a freshman. But Ji lets me stay with her."

Permalink Mark Unread

'Ji', hm?

"I won't tell."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thanks."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Are you two looking for anything in particular here?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Cool ice cream was the only specific thing, but I do kinda need to get some perishables for the apartment. Fruits and vegetables and milk and such."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Eating healthy then, good."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sara bullies me if I buy nothing but ramen."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Are you susceptible to bullying, Ji?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"A little bit."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Will I have to keep watch for that in class?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, I don't let just anyone bully me."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Very strict criteria," Sara murmurs. "Helps if you're doing it for her own good."

Permalink Mark Unread

She frowns at her sister, then, body language closing off and withdrawing.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Er, no, I didn't mean like that..."

Permalink Mark Unread

...Sigh. "Is 'kay."

"...Sorry for breaking the mood."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Don't apologize for drawing boundaries."

Permalink Mark Unread

Small grin. "You planning to bully me into enforcing my boundaries?" she teases.

Permalink Mark Unread

"If necessary."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well then..."

"I'd find that quite acceptable."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Noted."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle.

"You're very nice, you know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"In fact, that is not something I hear often."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Really? I think you should hear it more."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You'll have to say it more then, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well, I'm up for that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"How about I go get the fruit and stuff, and you two go look for ice cream?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"If you're sure?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Nod nod.

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'm amenable."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Okay."

"You're the best sis." She kisses Sara's cheek.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Go get her, Ji," she whispers back.

Permalink Mark Unread

Soft giggle. "Meet up at the entrance if we lose each other?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yep."

Permalink Mark Unread

"See you, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Bye. Have fun."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, I think we will."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smirk.

"Don't follow anyone home without letting me know," she says to Sara.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah, yeah."

Permalink Mark Unread

"See you." And she glances at Ellie. "Have you seen the ice cream guy yet?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not yet. You?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Nope."

"I did just arrive though..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Then there is yet hope. Come, let us search." She moves to take Dorji by the shoulders.

Permalink Mark Unread

She lets her, leaning into Ellie's touch a bit.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie steers her off into the market. Smugly.

Permalink Mark Unread

She's not the only smug one here.

She'll point out anything that might be an ice cream seller, but, is otherwise letting Ellie push her around. (She doesn't automatically follow if released, though.)

"Do you like ice cream?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I do. I like a lot of foods. Eating is an easy pleasure to take."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah - and I really like that magic makes it harder to overdo."

Permalink Mark Unread

"An important but sadly often overlooked benefit."

Permalink Mark Unread

"No clue why. Endless hedonism is the best."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And yet here you are, at school."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Learning is just academic hedonism."

Permalink Mark Unread

She laughs.

"Interesting perspective."

Permalink Mark Unread

"An often overlooked one," she teases. "I love learning new things, and I want a life full of things I love - so, here I am."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Here you are indeed." She squeezes Dorji's shoulder thoughtfully.

Permalink Mark Unread

Lean! Her own expression goes thoughtful, briefly.

"Why are you here?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"My specialization is downloading knowledge into people's head. The pain of paying for a college education in one lump sum is ameliorated by having the process over in a weekend. The catch is that I have to get the degree myself, first."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sounds like a nice job, though I don't think I'd be one of your clients."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sounds like you wouldn't be. Though at the moment most of my money comes from languages."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Learning languages is the best part, though."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Fortunately for me, not everyone shares that opinion. Though if you ask nicely, I might agree to tutor you more conventionally."

Permalink Mark Unread

"How nicely are we talking?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Nicely enough to make me feel my time is being well spent."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll try my best, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I expect no less, Miss Kelsang."

Permalink Mark Unread

She laughs and gains a little spring in her step.

"I'll be your best student, too."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Since we're not on university time, I can tell you that you're succeeding at that so far."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush! And smirk. "Thanks."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Though I think your next target for improvement should be extracurricular."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh?"

Permalink Mark Unread

She bends down to whisper into her ear.

"Let me take you to dinner tonight."

Permalink Mark Unread

Beam! And shiver at Ellie's closeness.

"So long as you're paying," she teases, as if her entire body language isn't vibrating with want.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Naturally."

And a quick nip at the ear before she straightens again.

Permalink Mark Unread

Eeep!

Her ears flick, her tail jerks and shivers briefly, and she leans a bit more into Ellie. "What're you in the mood for?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"At the moment... Indian. That place on Fifth." (The seriously upscale one, the kind of restaurant with silk cushions to kneel on.)

Permalink Mark Unread

"Spoiling me already?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"An incentivizing demonstration."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It demonstrates good taste," she says, grinning. "I've been eyeing that place, though it's out of my price range - oh, hey, how nicely would I have to ask to get you to take me and my sister there for my birthday, too?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"That depends on how soon your birthday is."

Permalink Mark Unread

"October thirteenth," she says, "So, like a month and a half."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hmm... Time enough to earn some extra credit."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "Definitely." And then, with a bit more of a lean, "And it is going to be my twenty first birthday..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Squeeze. "Worth a celebration, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'd say."

Permalink Mark Unread

She spins Dorji slightly. "Is that your ice cream man?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hm! Yup, that's him." Grin.

Permalink Mark Unread

What flavors is Dorji interested in today?

Permalink Mark Unread

Hmmmm...... Well, the apple one sounds lovely... And there's that chai one she got a bit obsessed with last year... And fig, that'll either be amazing or impossibly sweet... Lychee, always a strong fallback... Lavender's a seasonal flavor, so she does want to get some of that before the season changes... Oooo, jalapeño, definitely jalapeño.

(Her tail and ears are flicking in excitement.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Very cute.

Ellie will stock up herself, since she's here.

Permalink Mark Unread

Fortunately she learned to bring an insulated bag with some freezer packs in it last year, since her apartment is a bit of a walk and it's hot today. (Melted ice cream is a tragedy, and once Ji's cracked immortality, she's going to put unmelting ice cream pretty near the top of her development list.)

She has recommendations, if Ellie wants any. She even knows how to modulate them for more boring flavor preferences.

Permalink Mark Unread

If Ellie wanted boring, she won't need recommendations.

Permalink Mark Unread

Well, then she's got quite a few (many) opinions about what the objectively best ice cream flavors are.

(A handful of her recommendations have a teasing undertone of 'you should buy these to feed to me.' Incidentally - there's a much more limited selection of flavors, but the frozen mochi with ice cream centers are definitely the absolute best way to eat ice cream as a finger food. Totally recommended.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie buys a good sampling of those.

Permalink Mark Unread

Excellent.

Ji's getting hungry, speaking of... Breakfast was hours ago, and she just had a granola bar and some fruit before setting out here, and it's right around lunch time now.

Permalink Mark Unread

If they find her sister, Ellie can treat them both.

Permalink Mark Unread

She'll go looking, then.

Sara, where are you...

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara has begun migrating back toward the entrance, with her haul of fresh fruits and vegetables and a loaf of the good bread.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hey sis!"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hey!" She waves awkwardly, encumbered by bags.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Wanna drop these off at the apartment then get lunch?" She heads over to help take some bags.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sounds good to me."

Permalink Mark Unread

Cool. (Is Ellie good with that, too?)

Permalink Mark Unread

She is. She'll even help carry some of the bags.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thanks."

And, apartment-wards! It's a small place - Ji's not taking her parents' money for it, so it's one bedroom with a side nook screened off for when they want to sleep separately. It's theirs, though, and it's near the park where the farmers' market is, and it's not too loud, and there's trees outside their windows.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Cozy," Ellie says. "You're lucky to have found this place."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah. I've been needing to do work as well as school - and I'd saved up some before we came here - but it's been really nice. And there's enough wall space for me to hang my paintings, so..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You paint?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yup." She gestures around at the art on the walls - there's a painted mask and some crafts and framed sketches or watercolors and a few canvases, as well as the painting on the screen, which is at a closer glance possibly homemade. "Haven't gotten a chance to do a ton of things yet, but... All this was me."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's quite lovely."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush! "Thanks. I don't really have anyone to show it all to, except Sara... So, hearing you like it's nice."

Permalink Mark Unread

"This one's my favorite," Sara says, showing Ellie.

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh yes. Though this one has good qualities as well...

Permalink Mark Unread

She's just going to put away groceries... While giggling and blushing.

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara is just helping Ellie to admire the art. Not at all with the secondary motive of showing off how cute her sister is when she blushes, no ma'am.

Permalink Mark Unread

Of course.

(She's explained some of the symbolism behind each to Sara quite in depth before, too, if Sara wants to do a proper tour of it all. - Well, she didn't really have symbolism in the few bits of art she made as a child and then successfully hid and kept to the present day, which are also up, but a lot have stories all the same.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara will mix the real stories in with some made-up ones about the earlier pieces.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie nods along, apparently completely seriously, to both.

Permalink Mark Unread

She giggles at the made up ones, then at one - "Okay, that definitely never happened."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Are you sure? It sounds fairly plausible to me."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I have the scar to prove it," Sara says, making to hike up the back of her shirt.

Permalink Mark Unread

She sticks out her tongue at the two of them. "I know how you actually got that scar, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

"But Miss Davis doesn't."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Do you want me to not tell her?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Is yours a better story?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's a more true story."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Share, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We were at a playground - one of those kinda old abandoned ones without any padded surfaces, so, a nice playground - and me and my friends had been doing tricks like jumping from the swings, and Sara insisted on joining us even though she was pretty much a baby, and then she fell out of the swing and landed on a stick. No art vampires or blood ink anywhere to be seen."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie laughs.

Permalink Mark Unread

Pout!!

Permalink Mark Unread

"Luckily my friends weren't too annoyed about needing to take the token little sibling to find a first aid station, so she got to keep following us around afterwards."

Permalink Mark Unread

"How fortunate."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She was very cute. It would've been a shame to leave her behind."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She still is."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush.

"Good thing you're taking us both to lunch, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She might take us both to that nice Indian place we were eyeing for my birthday, too," she teases. "Get you a pretty silk cushion to kneel on..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oooh."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I think... Blue, maybe, for you... Though red would also be lovely." She leans toward her sister a bit, lowering her voice.

(Also, she thinks she knows what present to get Sara next time she gets her a gift...)

Permalink Mark Unread

"Definitely red for you, though."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I could also pull off a purple. Or an orange - especially a nicely autumny one."

Permalink Mark Unread

"True, true."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe a darker red - something moody - for you, a warm orange for me... If we're coordinating, of course. Or a lighter blue might be lovely by a warm orange..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Don't forget to account for your respective outfits, as long as we're eating in public."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Of course. We'll have to make sure we're a matched set."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A very cute set."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Think we'd look good together, Sara?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Mhm!"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe something to talk about," she murmurs, leaning in closer. "Next time we're alone together."

Permalink Mark Unread

Shiver!

Permalink Mark Unread

Smirk.

Permalink Mark Unread

She kisses Sara's cheek, then: "Ellie invited me out to dinner tonight, too."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh. Okay."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Do you want to go with us?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Mmm..." She chews her lip, glances at Ellie. "...No, I'll stay home. You two should have some time alone. There's some homework I have to work on, anyway."

Permalink Mark Unread

"If you're sure? I don't mind sharing..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe later."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Okay." She puts an arm over her sister's shoulder. "I won't stay out too late. promise."

Permalink Mark Unread

Snuggle. "Kay."

Permalink Mark Unread

Snugs!

"We do still have lunch to eat, though, and a couple hours to kill before dinner..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Can one of you two recommend somewhere close for lunch?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah. There's a fun hummus bar down the block, and a coffee shop across from that. Also a pizza by the slice place, but they're mostly good for midnight munchies - their day menu always tastes a bit weird to me..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hummus sounds good."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Let's do that, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

Off, then!

It's a pretty finger-food heavy sort of restaurant. Seems to be a popular place for people who like hand feeding their subs. The waitress at the front recognizes Ji, then asks what sort of table they want, and if they'll be needing any cushions.

Permalink Mark Unread

Two cushions.

Permalink Mark Unread

(Wag wag wag.)

Permalink Mark Unread

(Excited tail flick.)

The waitress smiles and directs them to an appropriate table, getting two cushions out of a little cubby as she goes.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie takes a seat, putting Dorji on her right and Sara at her left.

She solicits recommendations for food, but is the one who orders for all three of them.

Permalink Mark Unread

(Wiggle.)

She has plenty of recommendations, of course, both for what she likes and what her sister likes.

Permalink Mark Unread

A little of everything, then. And Ellie will trade off eating herself and slipping bits to Dorji or Sara.

Permalink Mark Unread

She's really very patient, especially if her sister is the one being fed. (She only wiggles about Ellie's food.)

She takes food directly from Ellie's hand, of course, tongue darting around her fingers.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Your sister is politer than I would have expected," she tells Sara as Dorji's mouth is occupied.

Permalink Mark Unread

"She's being good 'cause she likes you and I'm here, Miss Davis."

Permalink Mark Unread

She sucks on Ellie's fingers as suggestively as she can with her mouth full, humming agreeably.

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll have to compare this to dinner later."

Permalink Mark Unread

Innocent look! And she swallows and pulls back a bit. "I'm just making sure my sister has a good experience here..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And that's wonderfully thoughtful of you."

Headpats!

Permalink Mark Unread

Nuzzle!!!

Permalink Mark Unread

They're cute!!

Permalink Mark Unread

No, Sara's cute.

Permalink Mark Unread

Could be...

Permalink Mark Unread

It's all true.

Permalink Mark Unread

An entire cute triad?

Permalink Mark Unread

Possibly.

Permalink Mark Unread

Well, Ji's cute, Sara's cute, Ellie's very cute... Checks out.

Permalink Mark Unread

Fair enough.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Glad we agree on that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's not the most challenging proposition."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And it's important to agree on basics like that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"The foundation of any good relationship."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's the complicated stuff you can get into academic debates about."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She likes academic debates."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I've been known to indulge in such myself, from time to time."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Excellent." Smirk.

Permalink Mark Unread

Head scritches.

Permalink Mark Unread

...Scritches for Sara too?

Permalink Mark Unread

Of course.

Permalink Mark Unread

She leans against Ellie's thigh, and reaches for Sara's hand to hold.

Permalink Mark Unread

A good Saturday afternoon.

Permalink Mark Unread

Exceptionally so.

Permalink Mark Unread

When everyone's had enough lunch Ellie will take the check, and escort the girls back to their apartment.

Permalink Mark Unread

She grabs Ellie's hand to hold.

Permalink Mark Unread

Bold... but she'll allow it.

Permalink Mark Unread

Smirk.

She hums cheerfully the entire walk back.

Permalink Mark Unread

"There are a few more tasks I need to accomplish today. I'll be back to pick you up at seven."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Okay. I'll be here."

Permalink Mark Unread

"So I trust."

And she's off.

Permalink Mark Unread

Soft giggle.

Then she spins and hugs her sister.

Permalink Mark Unread

Hug!!

"That went really well!"

Permalink Mark Unread

"It did!" Squeeze. "Thank you for being my wingman."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I had fun."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I did, too."

"You're a wonderful sister."

Permalink Mark Unread

"So're you."

Permalink Mark Unread

She reaches out to cup Sara's cheek. "I feel more like some dork who got lucky."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Lucky, dorky, wonderful sister."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You got me there."

Her expression's fond, loving. "I promised we could talk about how pretty we might look together next time we were alone, didn't I?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Did you? I might have gotten a bit distracted..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"By the very pretty dom, I know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah," she sighs.

Permalink Mark Unread

She rubs her thumb over Sara's cheek. "You're lovely," she says, "Especially when you're looking at pretty doms. And..."

"I want to give you everything in the world, y'know? Make you happy."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I am happy. S'long as I've got you, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

Bright grin! "I love you."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Love you too."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I want to kiss you, sometimes."

Permalink Mark Unread

-Sara's brain goes blank.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Then you should," she blurts out, and blushes furiously.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!!!

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!

Permalink Mark Unread

She pulls Sara in closer, kissing her nice and firmly.

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh yes, that is very good.

Permalink Mark Unread

"You're the prettiest sub."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Don't let Ellie catch on," she giggles. "She'll take me all for herself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, I think she'd share, at least with me."

Permalink Mark Unread

Hmmmmmm an intriguing concept.

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle kiss! "You want to be shared?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Hum.

"It'd be fun, I think. But... maybe not forever."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You want your own dom, then?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Okay," kiss. "I'll help you find one, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Still the best."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "Of course, now I might need to filter for someone who doesn't mind their sub occasionally kissing someone else's sub..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Once in a while. As a treat."

Permalink Mark Unread

"When we've been very good?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Nod. "So all the time for me, but only once a month or so for you."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Brat."

Permalink Mark Unread

She sticks her tongue out at Ji.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!

"I can be good for you," she says.

Permalink Mark Unread

Laugh.

"I like that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll save all the brattiness for my dom."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Bet she'll appreciate it."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Give her a chance to discipline me."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggleblush.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Would you wanna watch that?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"May~be."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Maybe even help, if I'm enough of a brat before we get you your own dom..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Ooh..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You'd be very good at it."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'd do my best."

Permalink Mark Unread

"With how competent you are... You'd do excellently."

Permalink Mark Unread

Eee!

Happy wiggles.

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle kiss!!!

Permalink Mark Unread

Lovely sister.

Permalink Mark Unread

Two lovely sisters.

Permalink Mark Unread

Yep.

Permalink Mark Unread

Nuzzle.

Permalink Mark Unread

Soft kiss.

"Want help picking your outfit for tonight?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'd love that."

Permalink Mark Unread

They'll have to detangle a bit...

Permalink Mark Unread

Okay, fine...

Permalink Mark Unread

They can still cuddle while poking through the wardrobe, though.

Permalink Mark Unread

Works for her!

Permalink Mark Unread

She's gonna make sure Dorji looks her absolute best.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss! "Thanks, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!

"Maybe this top, it shows off your neck nicely..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You just want to see me in a collar, don't you."

Permalink Mark Unread

"One of us has to get one, and you're closer than me."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Might be a bit too vanilla for my tastes... And you'd be way cuter in a collar, anyways."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Aw. But they're so... traditional okay yeah I see why you don't want one."

Permalink Mark Unread

She starts giggling wildly. "I maybe could be talked into a tattoo... But that's also pretty classic edgy masochist, y'know. Still pretty much traditional."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Tattoo's a lot more permanent."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not if you can heal yourself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, good point."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Requires some masochism, but, well, if you got a neck tattoo in the first place..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not really your limiting factor."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not at all."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss! "Though... You don't have to help with the masochism parts of disciplining me if it'd bother you."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Depends what Ellie wants."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "You are such a sub."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yeah..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's cute."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Think my biggest problem is going to be filtering doms for you. Any with a lick of sense will be falling over themselves to have you at their feet."

Permalink Mark Unread

Gosh.

"You think so?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Absolutely. You're quite the catch."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush!

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle kiss!

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!!

"...We're getting distracted from your outfit."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We are." Giggle.

Permalink Mark Unread

"You still have a very pretty neck," she kisses it, "so it might not be a bad idea to show it off anyway."

Permalink Mark Unread

Shiver. "Tease her a little bit."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Mhm."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Show her where she could put bruises, all up and down it..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Shiver.

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'd come home to you all sore, in need of loving care..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And I can kiss you better."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Make me take it easy."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Tuck you into bed with a mug of soup."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Make sure I don't strain my voice by talking too much..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Keep you nice and cozy until you're better."

Permalink Mark Unread

Shiver!!! "Sounds very nice."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You're very nice."

Permalink Mark Unread

Wiggle kiss!!!

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara's sister is very cute.

Permalink Mark Unread

True, true... A good match for Sara herself.

Permalink Mark Unread

Hee!

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "C'mon, let's finish picking this out, then we can cuddle a bit until it's time to get me into it."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Kay."

Back to outfit design.

Permalink Mark Unread

It isn't too hard once they have the dress picked out... Just what jewelry to mess with it, musings on how to do her hair - and, oh, maybe Sara can help Ji paint her nails while they cuddle...

Permalink Mark Unread

She can practice keeping her hands steady for the swirly designs.

Permalink Mark Unread

Likely to be a useful skill.

Permalink Mark Unread

Precision is important.

Permalink Mark Unread

An artistic eye... The ability to follow directions precisely, while drawing a tool across another sub's body...

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara almost spills the polish across Ji's hand.

Permalink Mark Unread

She 'tsk's. "Be careful with that, silly."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sorry..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well, it didn't actually spill... So I think you can make it up to me without too much trouble."

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara finishes up the nail she's working on and carefully tucks the brush back into the bottle, screwing the cap down. She lifts Ji's hand and blows softly over her fingernails to help them dry.

Permalink Mark Unread

Shiver!

Permalink Mark Unread

"What do you want me to do?" she asks.

Permalink Mark Unread

"I can think of a few things," she murmurs, "Before we get me all laced up into that nice dress..."

"First - kneel."

Permalink Mark Unread

!!!

She drops to her knees.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Take off your shirt."

Permalink Mark Unread

Her heart is beating faster. She wriggles out of the garment.

Permalink Mark Unread

She admires Sara for a few long moments, then hums. "A very, very excellent view of a very pretty girl... Enough to make up for such a minor offense, don't you think?" Teasing smirk.

Permalink Mark Unread

Small whine.

Permalink Mark Unread

"You think you need to do more, then?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Want to do more. Please."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Take off your bra, then, good girl."

Permalink Mark Unread

She fumbles the clasp a little.

Permalink Mark Unread

She just watches, a fascinated expression on her face. "You're such a pretty sub," she purrs.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thank you, ma'am."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And polite, too."

She considers her still mostly wet fingernails, then: "Touch yourself for me, pretty girl."

Permalink Mark Unread

Sara raises hesitant hands, and starts exploring.

Permalink Mark Unread

She gives further instructions, of course. It wouldn't do to leave her pretty girl floundering here.

(She has quite a lot of fun.)

Permalink Mark Unread

So does Sara.

She'd known it would but- Working at someone else's pleasure makes it much sweeter.

Permalink Mark Unread

Wonderful.

And, once Sara has finished tending to them both... They can cuddle a bit, then Ji wants Sara to finish getting her ready.

Permalink Mark Unread

She can do that.

Permalink Mark Unread

She pets Sara a bit. "Thank you, sis."

Permalink Mark Unread

Happy hum.

"Love you. Good luck tonight."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Love you too." Kiss.

Permalink Mark Unread

There's a knock at the door.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Go see who it is, good girl."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes'm."

She goes to answer the door.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie looks her up and down.

"Hello, Sara."

Permalink Mark Unread

Furious blush!!

"...Hello, Miss Davis."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not worn Miss Kelsang out already, I hope."

Permalink Mark Unread

"N-no, we just finished getting her ready. Um, come in?"

She steps aside.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thank you, sweetheart."

Ellie steps in. She wears tall boots that reach up almost to the edge of her short, black skirt and a long undone jacket over a white top.

Permalink Mark Unread

Very, very pretty.

"Oh, I can keep going for quite a few more hours," she says.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good."

"Are you ready to go, Dorji?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes, absolutely." Preen! (She's wearing a dress that, of course, shows off her neck, with only thin straps on her shoulders and a plunging neckline. Her hair's up in a messy bun, secured with the hair sticks she likes - wood with sparkly red danglies - and she has knife earrings on. The dress is a deep red, and has a flowy skirt that falls to her knees, over more or less sensible black sandals.)

Permalink Mark Unread

"Let's go, then." She takes hold of Dorji's shoulder to escort her out.

"Goodbye, Sara."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Bye. Have fun."

Permalink Mark Unread

And outside to her car, which is a sleek little coupe.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Nice car," she says, running her hand over the hood as she's escorted to the passenger seat. She comments on the make and model - guesses it right, too.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yes, it is. I like to make sure my long-term investments are worth it."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Wise enough," she teases. "I like going fast, myself."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll have to take you out for a ride some time."

Permalink Mark Unread

"More than just this one?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"These aren't the best streets for it."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Fair." Smirk. "Gotta get somewhere less crowded for a nice hard ride."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Enough room to really stretch out without running afoul of local noise ordinances."

Permalink Mark Unread

"No one getting in our way."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Exactly."

All that said, Ellie does slightly exceed the speed limit of the drive to the restaurant. She finds a spot on the street and parks neatly, without any wasted movement.

Permalink Mark Unread

Show off.

She lets herself out of the car with a spring in her step and a teasing smirk on her lips.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie pulls her close on the walk to the restaurant.

Permalink Mark Unread

Lean! "Have you been here before?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Once or twice, yes."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You can give me recs then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, I will."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Planning to order for me?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Of course."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "Better hope I like it, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"If you don't, then you can pick next time."

Permalink Mark Unread

"For you as well?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"That seems a fair trade."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You gotta prove you're worthy to keep your lofty position."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Judgmental little sub, aren't you?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I have a discerning palate."

Permalink Mark Unread

Squeeze.

"I'm sure."

Ellie gets them a table with a seat for her and a cushion for Ji. There's one menu, given to Ellie, but she'll let Ji decide what she wants for a drink.

Permalink Mark Unread

This really is a very soft cushion. (And, she wants tea.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Then tea she gets. Ellie orders a pot of one of her favorites, and a cup for each of them.

Permalink Mark Unread

Tea is tragically hard to hand feed, yeah. And this isn't a doggy bowl sort of place, she doesn't say.

"This's good."

Permalink Mark Unread

"One of my own favorites."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yet more evidence of your excellent taste."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smirk.

"Quite."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We'll see how many other wonderful things you order for me..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie puts in their order, opting for an array of many small dishes to share, most of them quite spicy.

Permalink Mark Unread

Mmmm. (Small anticipatory noise. Those sound good.)

And, conversation... "So, what do you like to do? When you aren't teaching or seducing your students," she teases.

Permalink Mark Unread

"I read for pleasure, practice my psionics, dabble in sketchwork... Though nothing as extensive as your art."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush! "Reading's fun. Any books you really like?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Several, in fact. Which she will happily discuss.

Permalink Mark Unread

Heee - she's actually read some of those, but she'll need to get her hands on the others...

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie would be happy lend them to her.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thanks."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smile.

"And you? I've seen your paintings, apparently you read..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Books! She leans very heavily towards speculative fiction, especially romances - but she wants a spaceship, someday, and she's always loved fairy stories... Especially the more gory ones.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Did you dream of dancing in hot iron shoes til your feet dropped off as a child?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Only on the interesting nights."

Permalink Mark Unread

Heh.

"My favorite was always the princess tied up in her own hair."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A very lovely classic. Mine's normally not long enough, though..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie runs her fingers through Dorji's hair. "Not quite. But there's enough here to bind into other ropes."

Permalink Mark Unread

Small whine.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ear scritch.

"Would you like that?"

Permalink Mark Unread

She leans into the scritches and purrs rather loudly. "Mmmm, yeah."

Permalink Mark Unread

She laughs.

"I would very much enjoy the sight of you all rigged up, awaiting my attentions."

Permalink Mark Unread

Nnnnnf.

"Sara'd enjoy setting that up for you," she murmurs.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Now there's a thought. She's a good girl, your sister."

Permalink Mark Unread

"She's the best," she says with a little giggle. "Competent... Obedient... Eager to please... Caring... Smart..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"How's her manual dexterity?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Very good, at least as of a few hours ago. Could use some training, but, well. She has a solid base to start on."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Training, I can provide."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A firm hand..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Clear direction."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A well developed system of rewards and punishments."

Permalink Mark Unread

"And of course, a helpful training partner."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Someone to aid in demonstrations and skills checks."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Of course, I would have to be sure that such a person is already up to my standards."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Only reasonable."

Permalink Mark Unread

"That is what I am, pretty girl."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'm beginning to see that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good."

Pats.

Permalink Mark Unread

Purr!!! And nuzzle into the pats.

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh, she likes this girl.

Their food arrives.

Permalink Mark Unread

She wiggles as it's set down.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hungry, dear?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Starving."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Try this." She scoops some vegetables in spicy broth onto a piece of bread and holds it for Dorji.

Permalink Mark Unread

Shlorp! With a teeny little finger lick. And then a very appreciative noise.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Very yummy."

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie takes some for herself. "So it is."

"Now, which next...?"

Permalink Mark Unread

Hmmmm... The chickpea one.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie takes her bite first, this time, before offering the scraps to Dorji.

Permalink Mark Unread

Small impatient wiggle, then slightly more noticeable little moan as she's finally allowed to eat.

Permalink Mark Unread

She is hungry.

Ellie feeds her more diligently.

Permalink Mark Unread

Mmmmm yummy.

She's a bit voracious, and clearly enjoying being fed Ellie's scraps quite a lot, building up a nice purr.

Permalink Mark Unread

Such a cute little kitty.

Permalink Mark Unread

Heeeee!!!

Nuzzle purr.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Does the meal meet with your approval?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"It's excellent!" Nuzzle. "Definitely worth a second visit."

Permalink Mark Unread

"There are still more dishes to try."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A lot of flavors I haven't sampled?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"More combinations of tastes, textures..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Practically an entirely new adventure."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Brave new horizons await."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I love exploring, so..."

Permalink Mark Unread

Hee.

"Come up here and kiss me, pet."

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!!!

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss.

Permalink Mark Unread

Lap Ji?

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh, yes.

Permalink Mark Unread

Sadly, too much enthusiasm might be inappropriate for a nice restaurant like this...

Permalink Mark Unread

Fortunately, they're just about done with dinner. Ellie can pay and they can head out.

Permalink Mark Unread

Where to next?

Permalink Mark Unread

Back to Ellie's place, of course.

Permalink Mark Unread

(Anticipatory wiggle.) Does she have another new experience for Ji lined up, then?

Permalink Mark Unread

Signs point to yes.

Permalink Mark Unread

She can't wait.

Permalink Mark Unread

Good thing Ellie's got a fast car, then.

The perfect use of it.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie takes them to her townhouse, small but still bigger than Dorji's apartment.

She thinks she will carry Dorji inside.

Permalink Mark Unread

If she thinks she can pick Ji up...

Permalink Mark Unread

One way to find out.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ji's wiggling doesn't exactly make it easy.

Permalink Mark Unread

Pinch.

"Stay still."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Why should I?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"You'll get another kiss if you do."

Permalink Mark Unread

Hmmmm...

She goes very still.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good girl."

Permalink Mark Unread

Whine!

Permalink Mark Unread

Inside, then, and Ellie will make good on her promise.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!!! She starts wiggling again the instant their lips meet.

Permalink Mark Unread

That's not so bad. Makes getting up to the bedroom a little trickier.

Permalink Mark Unread

A sacrifice she's willing to make.

Permalink Mark Unread

Maybe. But she doesn't know what waits for them in the bedroom.

Permalink Mark Unread

Hmmm... Tough choices... Maybe Ellie should give her a more concrete motive.

Permalink Mark Unread

She will confide her plans in a whisper. Ropes and gags and whips.

Permalink Mark Unread

She goes so very still, eyes wide.

Permalink Mark Unread

Upstairs. Ellie will not delay.

Permalink Mark Unread

She better not. Ji's counting on her.

She whines a little as Ellie gets the door to her bedroom open.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie sets her down. "Enter on your knees, pet."

Permalink Mark Unread

She kneels, takes a deep breath, then crawls in, ears forward and tail low in her excitement.

Permalink Mark Unread

Time for fun.

Permalink Mark Unread

Mmmmm yes.

Ji's going to be a very, very good kitty. She'll only nip a little.

Permalink Mark Unread

Doubtless the punishments for such only encourage her.

Permalink Mark Unread

Unless Ellie keeps her mouth otherwise occupied.

Permalink Mark Unread

Only in interludes.

Permalink Mark Unread

She'll eventually learn to keep her teeth to herself. Probably. Maybe.

She's going to get a lot of punishments in the meantime, though.

Permalink Mark Unread

Keeps things interesting.

Permalink Mark Unread

Adds some variety.

Permalink Mark Unread

Important for keeping the night fresh.

Permalink Mark Unread

Keeps Ji engaged and desperate for more, even as her energy reserves give out and her voice cracks and fails.

Permalink Mark Unread

Always Ellie's favorite part, the end. When the sub just breaks down, totally spent.

It leads nicely into cuddles.

Permalink Mark Unread

She fairly quickly sinks down into 'blissed out' once Ellie starts up the cuddles, purring in a constant rumble, eyes half lidded.

Permalink Mark Unread

Pet pet.

"Stay here with me tonight, pretty girl?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Mmmm, m' sister..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I can let her know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"'Kay."

Permalink Mark Unread

Soft kiss.

Then she detangles a bit to call Sara and let her know Dorji will be returned in the morning.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ji pouts a little about the loss of her pillow.

Permalink Mark Unread

She'll get it back soon enough.

Permalink Mark Unread

Good.

Permalink Mark Unread

And then a night full of snuggles.

Permalink Mark Unread

And that rises right up to perfect. (Zzzzzz.)

Ji wakes very early the next morning, well before sunrise.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie would prefer not to, with how late they were up.

Permalink Mark Unread

She watches Ellie for a long while, a dopey grin on her face, before slowly trying to slide out of bed without disturbing Ellie.

Permalink Mark Unread

Not, actually, a difficult task.

Permalink Mark Unread

Good.

What's there for breakfast?

Permalink Mark Unread

Cereal, fruit, bagels, some bacon in the freezer, eggs in the fridge, enough raw ingredients that she could make pancakes if she felt like getting fancy...

Permalink Mark Unread

Fruit pancakes it is! ...Maybe when Ellie gets up, pancakes are best fresh.

She'll have some bagels and fry up some eggs in the meantime, prepare the pancake batter, then settle in to do her meditations and exercises until Ellie seems closer to maybe stirring. (At which point she digs through the cabinets until she finds stuff for making fancy coffee.)

Permalink Mark Unread

She doesn't start getting up until a couple hours past dawn.

Permalink Mark Unread

Sleepy bones.

Ji's had second breakfast (cereal, milk, and fruit) by then, and also gone on a walk around Ellie's neighborhood (long enough to get to the nearest grocery store to buy stuff for very fancy coffee and pancakes, as well as a lemonade soda) and texted her sister a very thorough review of Ellie's prowess as a dom. She's eating an apple when Ellie finally emerges, though sets it down to mix together the fancy coffee she'd planned once she hears movement in the bedroom.

"Morning," she says, cheerfully, and holds the mug out to Ellie. "This is yours."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thoughtful pet." She takes the coffee and sips. "Thank you."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle! "I set up for making pancakes, too. Didn't want to premake them, though, since I didn't know when you'd wake up..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"They are best fresh," Ellie agrees, patting Dorji on the head. "Cook them for us now."

Permalink Mark Unread

Wiggle!

And: to cook! She hums happily as she does so.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie settles down at the table to watch.

Permalink Mark Unread

"See something you like?" she asks, with a little wiggle of her hips.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yep."

"Unfortunately, there's all this excess cloth in the way..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Well, you're the one who decided not to own sexy exercise pants."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Take them off, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

She grins and steps back from the stove a bit, slipping the pants she stole from Ellie off and tossing them outside of the kitchen area.

She's wearing Ellie's underwear beneath them.

Permalink Mark Unread

Oh good, then Ellie is free to quickly stand up, grab a knife, and cut them off her.

(She didn't get to do the same last night, Ji made it very clear she didn't want her own clothes damaged.)

Permalink Mark Unread

Ji pouts, then moves away and takes them off normally. "Nope, mine now."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You think so?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I stole them fair and square."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Yet here they are, back in my house."

Permalink Mark Unread

"All things stolen by cats belong to them in perpetuity."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hn." She gives Dorji a swat on the bottom. "Maybe I'll get you a wardrobe specifically for cutting."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I think you might just need to give up on that kink, darling." Cheeky grin. "Unless you want to put clothes on me and immediately cut them off." Quick kiss, then:  "I get attached very fast. Especially to nice things."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'll have to give the matter some consideration. Back to work with you."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. And back to cooking!

"Might help if they're all identical..." she comments, idly. "Then they won't feel special..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Hmm. Cheaper, too."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Cost itself doesn't actually matter to me? It's... Prettiness, or uniqueness, or just mine-ness, or all the emotions and thoughts and memories I associate with it, and sometimes... Underlying durability? If it's just... Ephemeral or not."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I meant for me. But good to know."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Fair."

"Thanks for being good about this."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Things worth keeping are worth taking care of."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You're a good." She gets the first two pancakes on a plate and comes over to put it down in front of Ellie, kissing her as she does so. "Anything to drink other than the coffee?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Just that."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Okay."

She gets her own pancakes going and pours herself some milk.

Permalink Mark Unread

"You're cute, you know."

Permalink Mark Unread

Blush!!!

"So I've heard."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We should do this again sometime."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Absolutely."

"And more often than just 'again,' I'd say."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A more permanent arrangement?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"At least a frequent reoccurence." Then, with a teasing smile: "Don't know about permanent just yet, but... I can do committed."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Committed is a start."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Though we'd have to negotiate quite a bit more for that, I think."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Of course."

Permalink Mark Unread

"My sister wants her own dom eventually, so won't be committing for you, but... I want her involved in relationship decisions I make, too."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Do you want to wait until we return you to talk, then?"

Permalink Mark Unread

...Hum.

"Some things might be - easier to say, just on my own."

Permalink Mark Unread

"All right."

Permalink Mark Unread

Smile as she finishes her own pancakes and comes to sit by Ellie. "What sorts of things would you want out of a committed relationship?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"A sub, obviously. Hm, let's see..."

"I think the most important thing is that I be primary, in romantic relationships."

Permalink Mark Unread

"...Hrm."

"So, I'm a switch. Or - role queer in a switchy way."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"I don't have a ton of experience with different relationships, but... I like how what I have with Sara slides back and forth, and... I dunno. I might need something like that for 'primary' to be a thing? But I might not."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I won't be sliding as easily as your sister."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We could also do like, a trial period I guess. And - slide to nondynamic might be plenty. The big thing is..."

"I don't want to be in a sub role all the time, or possibly even most of the time - I actually put dom on my IDs, since it's, like, usually less annoying to get read that way."

She frowns. "I don't like that society makes a thing out of dynamics, speaking of. They can be fun, but..." Vague hand wave, then a shrug. "I'm queer."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Odd indeed." Smile.

"But I think you being you and me being the way I am will get in the way of doing this over the long term."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Sounds like it, yeah. Bummer." Small smile. "Though, don't think this gets you out of me asking all the questions I can in class."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I would hope not."

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle. "Worry not; I plan to pick your brain for all it's worth."

"And... I wanna be long term friends, still. Possibly with some very excellent benefits, if your heart's true sub doesn't end up being the jealous sort."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I'd like that." Hug.

"Maybe I should try dating your sister," she teases.

Permalink Mark Unread

Very interested noise. "She said earlier she doesn't want to be full time poly, but... Mmmmm, you'd be pretty on top of her." Teasingly: "She's such a long suffering sub, you know. Really needs a proper dom to show her the ropes."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Get her properly ready to snare the big one."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Get us some good material to use when playing her wingwoman."

Permalink Mark Unread

"A clear and concise list of strengths and weaknesses."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Perhaps even enough material for a letter of recommendation."

Permalink Mark Unread

Gigglekiss.

Permalink Mark Unread

Kiss!

She laughs, then, and leans into Ellie briefly before remembering she'd been eating breakfast and sitting back up to finish.

Permalink Mark Unread

They are good pancakes.

Permalink Mark Unread

The morning after special.

Permalink Mark Unread

Worth having Dorji over by themselves.

Permalink Mark Unread

Giggle blush.

"And my cooking is a good excuse to stop by my apartment a lot," she teases. "Incidentally meeting anyone else in residence."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Of course."

Permalink Mark Unread

"...Speaking of home, I have homework..."

Permalink Mark Unread

"We'd best get you back, then."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I suppose." Giggle, then: "Some of my professors are very sadistic and strict, so, I probably shouldn't tarry."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not interested in serving a punishment?"

Permalink Mark Unread

"Not academically! Have to maintain my perfect record."

Permalink Mark Unread

"Oh, if it's question of not sullying perfection, then by all means."

Permalink Mark Unread

Preen! "I'm very high maintenance, so." Laugh. "Mind if I steal your pants and shirt, too? I'd rather not try to wiggle back into that dress right now."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I suppose there's not helping it. Go ahead."

Permalink Mark Unread

"You could have my sister steal them back, if you're ever at a loss for orders to give her."

Permalink Mark Unread

"I wouldn't want to set the two of you at odds," she demurs.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Rivalries don't count." Wink.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Good to know."

Permalink Mark Unread

She laughs and goes to find and put on her justly acquired new underwear and pants, then to collect her things from last night.

Permalink Mark Unread

Ellie will take care of the dishes while she does that.

Permalink Mark Unread

"Thanks."

"Good to head out?" (She's going to need a ride back.)

Permalink Mark Unread

"Let's get you back to your sister."
