The Master steps out into the forest.

That TARDIS has helpfully disguised itself as a tree that unhelpfully, looks like every other tree.

"You'd better find me," he mutters as the trunk seals behind him.

He walks straight ahead, humming a simple, repetitive tune. He keeps one hand in his pocket.

It's such a nice forest. Full of plants and fungi and rocks and literally zero animals.

After a while more of the completely uninteresting walk, he comes upon a hut.

He strides up and knocks on the door.

A small person with offensively yellow hair opens it and squints up at him. "Oh hello," he says, suddenly smiling brightly. "Welcome. What's your name? I'm Yellow."

"The Master. Did you actually choose a name based on the color of your hair? Or wait, don't tell me you dyed it to match your name. That's even more embarrassing."

The little person laughs as though anything about that was funny. "No, your real name."
"I asked first," says Yellow.
"You're not a very good liar."

"Ouch."

The Master attempts to shoulder past him and look inside the hut.

"What even is this place?"

The hut is not designed for someone of his height. Yellow doesn't get out of the way but is way too light to resist the attempt to enter.

"It's my house."

The Master ducks down to enter the door.

"I know it's a house. What's this place?" He makes a wide, sweeping gesture.

"The one with the weird sky and too many trees. It's not Earth."

"Fairyland. I didn't invite you in."

"Fairyland? That one's new. Why do you want my name?"

"It's polite to introduce yourself. You're not very polite at all."

"I gave you the name I use."

The Master looks around to see if anything inside is obviously interesting.

"And then you barged into my house! What are you going to do next, eat my breakfast?"

It's not really interesting. There's some food on the table, doors to either side of the room he entered into, handmade furniture, a water-filled gap in the floor that looks like it could be used to swim out into the lake beyond if you were a small semiaquatic fairy.

"I'm not hungry."

He wanders over and opens one of the doors.

Bedroom. Drawings on the walls, bowl of fruit on the desk.

Yellow is tapping his foot indignantly.

The Master opens the other door.

Another less decorated bedroom.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Annoying you. I can't believe you're letting a stranger rummage through your house."

"I didn't let you, you barged in!"

"You didn't stop me either. But it doesn't matter, your house is boring."

The Master heads towards the front door.

Someone opens the door before he gets there.

"There you are!" Yellow exclaims. "Turn him into a frog!"

The newcomer doesn't react except to look at the Master.
